Indian River 4-H Horsemasters Valentine Horse Show It's time for the Horsemasters' 53rd Annual Valentine Show Fundraiser! Youth are welcomed regardless of race, gender, or creed.

Indian River Horsemasters is a 4-H club that focuses on horse education, riding and the love of horses. Funds raised allow IRC 4-H Horsemasters to compete in local, area, state, and national events. These include Horse Judging Contests, Demonstration Contests, Record Book Competitions, Hippology Contests, Horse Shows, and Camps.

4-H is a not for profit organization that falls under the blanket of

the University of Florida and IFAS. Horsemasters, the oldest 4-H club in Indian River County, has helped countless youth reach their fullest potential since its inception in the 1960's. Our Valentine Show funds have always been raised through donations from local businesses wishing to partner with 4-H for the betterment of our youth. This page exists to relay show information to those interested and to recognize and thank our many sponsors.

Last night we had our annual Christmas Party. The girls ate, played games, opened gifts, and donated toys to our local toys for tots. They got a special 4-H ornament with their name on them made by our host Kimberly Raupers Kofke. We had a fun night enjoyed by all!

Last night we had the pleasure of Rosie Pope from Equine Smiles Dentistry LLC come speak to our members about horse dental care, she then floated a horse in front of the girls. She then showed them a horse’s loose tooth, where several members got to feel it.

Horsemasters would love to give a huge thank you to Dr. Alderman at Alderman Veterinary Services for coming out to speak with our club about Equine First Aid/Emergencies. She taught the members what to do in an emergency, when to call a vet, and what should be in their first aid kits. They also learned how to listen to the heart beat, gut sounds, and to check the pulse.

We also had our new UF IFAS Indian River County Extension Agent Morgan Moran come out to introduce herself and do some hippology with the girls.

🎉🥜 Congratulations to our Barn Blazers 4-H club for collecting the most peanut butter in the challenge! They will be celebrating with a Catered Party Prize from Jeremiah's Italian Ice in Vero Beach! 🍦🎈

A couple of our Horsemasters volunteered at a rodeo event benefiting one of our local elementary schools.

Maddie and Abby worked the concession stand all day, and when Lilly and Sarah weren’t working the concession stand they were presenting the colors on horseback!

We would like to thank Dr. Gambella for not only speaking with our members tonight on: horse in health and disease, a talk on husbandry and basic healthcare, but housing us at RosenBella Ranch!

The kids had a great time and they even played a little question ball as well.
