Big News! Easley Equine Dentistry and Lexington Equine Dentistry are now Kentucky Equine Veterinary Dental Specialists!

You can call or text (859) 935-0539 and you will still see Drs. Easley, Rainbow, and Vasco.....and of course Cathie Greenwell!

We also have a new website www.KEVDS.com

It's still under development, but it's coming along so keep an eye out for new articles, interesting cases, and other exciting news.

Here’s a “sticky” situation! While working with Easley Equine Dentistry, we came across a gelding that had gotten the stem of a very thick w**d stuck in the roof of his mouth. It had been there for weeks at least. The horse was still eating and it was great condition. The wounds in the gums and palate should heal quickly, but if not found in time that would have definitely created a more severe and expensive case to treat.

Just a few deciduous teeth and numerous fragments removed from a barn of 24 maiden or barren mares! Young horses need frequent dental care too, when they are in great body condition! A lot of the older barren mares had fragmented deciduous teeth that should have been shed long ago. Instead they were impacted and creating uneven occlusal surfaces that cause teeth to wear out more quickly and negatively impact the whole arcade of teeth and ultimately the mouth.
