To share a little more in depth background of our wonder boy ♥️🐴

It's with happy tears that we saw Johnny Zippo off to his new and forever home at Serenity Wine & Equine today. He's an incredible horse that survived falling off the killbuyer's truck, being starved by unscrupulous "rescues" that collected thousands in donations to "save" him, and was finally purchased as a prospect by yours truly for a whopping $650... being told, of course, absolutely none of this.
We had hoped Johnny Zippo would be a nice jumper. The reality is that he ended up being just slightly unsound. In just over a year he stole everyone's hearts. After everything he had been through... all the people that let him down, he was the sweetest and most affectionate goofball you could ask for.
It was a hard decision to find him a pet home, but the home was the easiest part. We had promised Johnny Zippo that he would have a good life no matter what. Today we passed the reins to friends that will give him an even better home, and most importantly a job. He will be an ambassador, a family member, loved. His long road finally leads home.
