Everyone meet Noelle! One of our awesome trainers here at K9aholics!
Hi! My name is Noelle Hermann and I am a recent graduate of the State University of New York at Cobleskill in Cobleskill, NY. I graduated with a Bachelors of Technology degree in Canine Training & Management and spent this past summer doing my internship at MK9 Solutions in Piedmont, AL. While in Alabama I was working with working line labs in detection, which I absolutely loved! I have always loved dogs, but never imagined I would be in the career field I am in now. I love watching how dogs learn and figuring out different ways to teach them. Dogs will never cease to amaze me with the things they are capable of! I am so grateful that I found my program and had amazing mentors that allowed me to be able to do what I love every day!

Hi! My name is Brandon. I received my Master Obedience dog training certificate from Tarheel Canine and I now work as a professional dog trainer at K9aholics. I have loved dogs since I was young, enjoying the journey of learning to speak their language and working to understand each other. It was only a matter of time before I discovered my passion for dog training. People often speak about their hobbies in addition to their job, but I am fortunate to say that what started out as just a hobby for me became my career, and I can’t imagine my days not looking down and seeing a dog ready to learn and share an understanding with me.

made a post recently that I think everyone should go check out. I won’t even try to paraphrase it. But it resonated with me enough to share a similar experience. I’ve always allowed the dogs to teach me my lessons. The dogs would tell me if my training sucked or not. And I’ve learned a lot of lessons through trial and error. Eventually I’d get to Tarheel, and also be blessed enough to learn a lot from Shawn. I got to a point where I realized my training worked. And I wanted to share this with people. I wanted to help people that were new and hungry for knowledge. Mostly because I saw myself in them.
I started a free internship and taught a lot of inexperienced people. I spent hours and hours of my time teaching people for free. Time that I’ll never get back. I’ve spent countless hours decoying for people for free. I’ve worked my dogs to death teaching people how to decoy. And I was always happy to do it.
But here was what I received in return. People stealing money from me. People taking my programs and prices and using them as their own. People who just came to see how I market, and who I use. People that I taught training methods leaving and calling themselves trainers using the things I taught with zero appreciation or acknowledgement to the person they learned it from. I could honestly go on for days about this. This is why gate keeping is a thing in this industry. The last 3 years have made me jaded to ever helping anyone again. But never let the actions of others change who you are as a human. Keep helping. Keep making the dog training community better. Just protect yourself while doing it.

2023 PSA East Coast Regionals

I’m amazed at what I got to experience this past weekend. Jeff Allen and Sandhills PSA club put on an awesome event. Thank you thank you and thank you again for allowing me to be apart of this. The decoys in this group were killer! Ben Lepinski was our senior decoy and his leadership skills were unmatched. Putting decoys where they were strongest, and making sure everyone was on point. Teamwork is what trial decoying is all about. Ben, Matt, Andrew, and Joli… it was a pleasure sharing the field with y’all. When a decoy group works as a team, it creates chaos in the best way possible. And chaos creates stress for the dog and handler. I’m genuinely impressed by this sport. Until next time. 🐶

You’re never too good to stop learning. You’ll never know enough. And that’s the beauty of dog training. There’s always room for growth. I’ll keep this short….but I’m extremely appreciative of Shawn Edwards. He’s one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. Super grateful for the promotion and knowledge my friend. Now if you can just hook me up with a large shirt so I can ditch this smedium 😂
