First monarch of the season to visit my gardens! (And yes I did report to Journeynorth.org 😁) She looks like she has had a long journey and may have even left a few eggs behind. Things are starting to bloom and the it’s nice to have the fluttering beauties back in town!!

I absolutely LOVE Passiflora… Passion flower…but it has to be kept in check or it will take over! 🤣

I plant for the pollinators…bees and butterflies and other winged things…and of course can’t forget the birds! This is one of the reasons that I am not quick to cut down spent flowers! Their seeds are needed by our native birds too!
