👁 🐾 Wendel's left eye journey continued...
I couldn't find my phone last week when I brought him in, but he had another procedure done (same thing as before, just a touch up), because his eye wasn't getting any better.
Last week, he was put on super fancy eye drops called Vetrix (topical amniotic membrane) three times a day. Pricey little drops, but well worth it 💧! It's supposed to speed up the recovery process. He was also put on 100 mg of Gabapentin (better than the 25 mg of Carprofen he was on for pain) twice a day. I can tell both have been helping a lot. 🩵
He's still on Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% three to four times a day, and Tacrolimus 0.3% but now just in his right eye (it's the one he normally gets once a day in each eye).
He stopped the Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment, USP .5% (the only thing the emergency vet put him on) and Doxycycline last week.
📄 The report today: He's 75% healed 🙌

I can't tell you how blessed I am to have an animal eye hospital so close to me & to have an animal eye doctor (she's AMAZING) that also has a Frenchie. Her Frenchie has been through the same thing before. What's cool is he looks almost *just* like Wendel, his name is Elivis, and he's ever so slightly older than Wendel. 🐾
