Wendy was adopted, but her bestie Susie is still with Save-A-Life. This photo bomber would love a forever home to call her own!
Susie is a 2 year old, 15 pound, Red, Chihuahua/Min Pin mix. She was thrown over someone's fence in south Georgia, pregnant and heart worm positive. She was so large that the puppies had to be delivered by C-Section, She was a first time mama and took awhile to learn how to care for the pups. Dogs with heart worms often lose their litters because of the diminished blood supply to the embryos. Susie had 8 puppies and lost 4. The other 4 were fine, and were later adopted. She was spayed during the C-section surgery. She has been treated for heart worms and is now healthy and happy. She is an active little girl with lots of curiosity. She is trained to sleep in a crate at night and is fine but always ready to be let out to run outside. She does well with the other small dogs but is a little intimidated of the larger breeds. Susie would do well with an active family, an inside home and a fenced yard. She is very loving and perks right up when you tell her what a good girl she is. She comes when called, and sits for a biscuit.
