Always fun getting this beauty out in the sunshine! Thankful for some great weather during this “pandemic” - be safe out there everyone and wash yo damn hands 🤣😂
UPDATE VIDEO!
Some of our 2018 pastel dream keywests! I’ll get a video of the younger ones later on tonight 🙂 these guys are growing like weeds, eating small rats with ease - grow my little ones!
Today I was lucky enough to witness one of the negatives of boa breeding, if solely for experiencing it first hand and learning something from the situation.
I decided to document this experience in a video ( which ended up being three parts), in hopes that maybe someone else can benefit from it, or someone who’s had this happen might provide us all better information in the event it happens to you (or me).
Here’s Part 1 (of 3)
Pair #1: 2014 Sunglow jungle motley x 2010 leopard het lipstick (proven)
Stay tuned...
So this is the video my lovely wife sent to let me know we had some babies 😂 thought everyone would get a kick out of it
So hopeful for this pairing! The female (Rue) would be the first baby I ever raised up to produce babies for me! She's also the first boa my wife took a liking to 🙂 fingers couldn't be crossed more!!!
Showed Adrienne Johnson McCandless how to scratch eggs last night, and she got to hatch out her first (by scratching) baby tegu!
Her reaction is absolutely priceless 😂😂😁👍
***UNBOXING ( More so unbagging) our newest addition! Big plans for this one!!!
(NOTE: For anyone concerned, she was quarantined prior to shipping due to no available space for a quarantine zone now that we've downsized by about 1000 sqft.)
"Pandora", our proven 2009 aberrant female, who gave us 29 healthy babies this year, paired to a DDPP VPI male. All offspring are sold, but big plans for the future with this girl!
Short clip of our proven 2009 Sunglow female, who gave us 19 beautiful babies this season! Paired her with a leopard poss het lipstick line Kahl, who proved! Babies available now in the "Available" album.
Pairing #2 of the season, introduced 3 days ago :) she's holding out on him for the time being though hah. Hopefully these two can figure it out ;)
Note: Scaring on her head was from a previous encounter with some wire mesh she tried to dig her head into, and it's healing nicely (and being monitored closely)
It's 93 degrees out today, and the gu's were glad to chow down on some fresh shrimp!
Houdini, father of the clutch of blues laid 60 days ago! Ready for this guy to be a father already!! Come on babies!!
Break in the sun = feeding time!
Ellie came out of hiding for some fresh shrimp (hence how dirty she looks), and she's shedding again! She gave us 19 beautiful eggs 60 days ago today, so we should have some beautiful baby blues any time now! Can't wait!
Houdini and his lady Ellie in the new outdoor enclosure... Looks like they're breaking it in already!
Hoping for a nice clutch of blue tegu eggs here in a few weeks!!
At it again... Third time this week I've caught them locked!!! Fingers crossed she takes this year, been dying for some blue babies!!
