Service dog, Griffyn, says hello!

Meet Sam. Sam came from a local shelter about an hour away. Upon arriving, he had just been neutered, so today was the first day having him out around different things.

Initial Surrender: The owner was possibly moving. Surrendered him and a litter mate. (Both 5 years) No Other information given.

Trial FTA: Somebody trialed on a foster to adopt for a day. It was reported that Sam was very strong, reactive to dogs and chickens, and got loose.

Since having Sam, we have seen numerous things. He does ok with bathing and grooming. He actually loves other dogs. He is a very typical bird dog towards cats and chickens, so we will be working to see how that progresses. He is food motivated but has little treat motivation. He will only eat treats or food if on the floor. He doesn't appear to want to do any obedience as far as sitting, down, etc. No leash skills. Does not like the initial going into a crate but settles down quickly and is fine.

Sam is here as a foster through a rescue to learn manners and see how he progresses as a possible working dog.

Confidence Building with Leo! Leo is one of my dog walking clients who is a younger fella. We incorporate obedience and different confidence building exercises as allowed based on where we are.

Session number 8 with Finn!

We were able to make steady strides over the past few months with working on reactivity based behaviors through counterconditioning techniques. A big applaud to the family for supporting him and doing amazing work!

Effective immediately. Business Hours.

My business hours moving forward will be between 9am-5pm. This is not a guarantee to an immediate response as I may be with other clients, etc. You will get a response within 48 hours during that time frame, except in the boarding or petsitting services listed below.

For training clients, the previously listed hours will be Monday-Friday, unless a training session is scheduled on a weekend, in which you will have confirmation messages on weekends during the business hours.

For any boarding or petsitting clients, you will still receive updates and messages Monday-Sunday, but this will transition to during operating business hours unless the service falls outside of those business hours.
