Hi, my name is Toby! I am a 4-month old Beagle mix, and my foster mom says I am the best boy!

I am 100% puppy and am very curious about the world around me. I am so smart that I figured out how to get out of my kennel. I don’t really like being in there, but I sleep in there at night just fine. I have had a few accidents in the house, as I am learning how to go potty while I’m outside on a lead. I do well going to the bathroom outside when I am on a leash, though! I also love to play. I am a little awkward with my long legs and big paws, but it just makes me sillier and cuter. At the end of the day, after walking and playing, I love to snuggle.

My foster mom says I have a good temperament. I live with two older kids right now, but she thinks I would be okay with younger kids, too. I am working on socializing with other pets and am sharing a home with another dog right now. We are both food motivated and need to be separated when we eat and when the humans are eating, too.

If you don’t have any other dogs in your home and are ready to train and teach a puppy how to be loved, this guy is for you! He’s a great boy, and he deserves a wonderful home!

Happy fury friend Friday! 🐶

We were fortunate enough to be invited to hang out with some cool pups who are up for adoption at the The Mesabi Humane Society. One of which was Ruby.

If you saw the post by our friends at mountainironfire, Ruby had a lot of fun getting pets, treats and checking out the emergency vehicles. She even got some time to decide what Halloween costume she’s going to wear this year (she told us it was more fitting to be a Sheriff K9 for Halloween than a Fire Fighter on account of her lack of spots). She also thought of some great tips to share while trick or treating 🎃.

Ruby, along with a lot of other loving animals are up for adoption at The Mesabi Humane Society.

🎃 Woof Wednesday - Ruby’s Howl-oween Fire Safety Tips! 🎃

“Hi, I’m Ruby from Mesabi Humane Society!

Halloween is all about tricks, treats, and tails wagging—but let’s keep it safe, too!

🎃 Ruby’s Howl-oween Fire Safety Tips:
-Keep jack-o’-lanterns and candles away from wagging tails (flameless candles are best!).

-Keep it comfy, not flammable! Costumes should be safe for zoomies.

-Keep decorations clear of doorways so everyone can escape easily if needed.

-Test smoke alarms before the spooky fun begins.

And for costume ideas? 🧑‍🚒🐕
Dress up as a firefighter—they’re paws-itively heroic and pair great with dogs like me!
