Moose is such a sweetheart! Oh my gosh! We just adore him and his super devoted foster moms! They have done such a wonderful job caring for him, showering him with love, patience, and training. Moose may be a big boy, but he is also very gentle and intelligent! He's currently enrolled in our Canine Good Citizen class and doing fabulous! Our team in Los Angeles is currently at a local shelter pulling dogs for a transport happening tomorrow morning. We are also coordinating more transports to help get pets out of Los Angeles and away from the fires, but we need YOUR help to make that happen!

San Diego is under a red flag warning, with an increased risk of fire due to Santa Ana winds. It's crucial to have an emergency plan for your family — including pets of all sizes. Create an emergency kit for your pet, including food, medication, water, bedding, toys and any other items to make them feel secure. Make sure your pets are wearing identification, including a collar with ID tag, even if your pet doesn't normally go outdoors. If your pet has a microchip, make sure your registered contact information is up to date. If there is a fire, evacuate early and don't leave your pets behind. Make a plan now for any large animals and livestock. Pets cannot fend for themselves during disasters and leaving them behind can risk their lives and the lives of rescuers. The Canine Good Citizen course offers an excellent opportunity for dog owners to master essential practical skills for everyday situations. This includes walking nicely on a leash, staying relaxed around other dogs, calmly undergoing grooming and examinations, and responding reliably to the "Come" command.
