What is Cat & Craft?

Cat & Craft is North County San Diego's first "cat cafe".

We're a craft coffee shop that fosters adoptable rescue cats.

When you visit, you'll see that our space is divided in two...

1) The Coffee Shop

2) The Cat Lounge

They're completely separated from one another (you're welcome, health department! ...we got an A+ by the way 😸👍 ) and even have separate heating and air units so allergic guests can enjoy their coffee without the sniffles.

We serve skillfully prepared espresso drinks using local, award-winning coffee beans from Manzanita Roasting Co., house-made cold brew, fresh local pastries, gourmet toast plates and much more.

You may enjoy your goodies in the coffee shop - peering into kitty cat paradise through the giant 8 foot separation windows...OR...

••• The Cat Lounge •••

As a guest, you can support our foster mission with the purchase of a $12 Cat Lounge admission. All coffee shop goodies may be enjoyed in the Cat Lounge.

In order to not overwhelm our furry fosters and to keep the guest experience fun, we limit the number of guests in the Cat Lounge to 12 guests per hour.

Walk-in Cat Lounge visits are welcomed if space is available, but we always recommend securing your Cat Lounge time online at catandcraftcafe.com.

Even if you can't or aren't in a position to adopt, our fosters benefit from the love and attention you give them during your visit.

••• Adoptions & The Cat Rescue Cycle •••

All of our cats come from San Diego non-profit cat rescue, LYFF Rescue.

LYFF pulls cats from high-kill shelters before they're euthanized. After they spend time in the care of a volunteer, some get to come to Cat & Craft.

All of the cats we foster at Cat & Craft have been fully vetted, vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered.

For those who make a connection during their Cat Lounge visit, we can facilitate the adoption process right on the spot. If approved by LYFF, the adoption fee gets paid directly to LYFF Rescue and a take-home time is arranged.

After the take-home, LYFF gets to fill the open space in our Cat Lounge with a new rescue

...and then gets to save another cat from euthanasia!

••• Our Goal •••

Since our soft-opening in January 2019, we've been averaging 2 to 3 adoptions per week and our goal is to reach 500 by January 2020.
