Happy first birthday to Compass Rose Academy therapy dog Ruby and her sister, Josiah White's therapy dog Dea Dea! Both dogs were celebrated on Friday by staff with a party complete with singing, puppy treats, and new chew toys! The girls had a great time!
We are so thankful for the addition of these two to our ministries over the past year!

This is our little DeaDea from our most recent litter! We are so proud of her!

Josiah White's Recovery Services team is excited to announce a new addition to the team! Say hello to therapy dog Dea Dea!
Dea Dea was donated to Josiah White's Recovery Services by Good Shepherd Goldens. She was donated because she was born with a shortened tail and a problem with her right eye. She will undergo a series of surgeries to correct these medical issues.

Already, she has participated in group therapy with the youth where we used her to illustrate how no one is perfect, we all have struggles and our broken parts allow us a different kind of meaning, purpose and story to impact the lives of others. In recovery, helping others, avoiding resentment, and having gratitude even through difficult circumstances is vital. Just this last Friday Dea Dea helped bring calm and perspective after a difficult morning. She will be helping teach these lessons on a daily basis.

Dea Dea is named after the late Larry Deane Shepard who was the father of Krista Seeds. Krista wanted her donation to be used for animals to help the youth in either Residential or Recovery Services. The money Krista donated will pay for her surgeries and training.

DeaDea went with Matt and Tracey Riggle where she will train to be a therapy dog at Josiah White's!

Compass Rose is excited to introduce a soon-to-be new member of our team! Say hello to Ruby!
Ruby will be our new therapy-dog-in-training for CRA's newest campus home that will open later this year. She is a Golden Retriever and was born in March. Ruby will begin her training this summer.

Happy birthday, puppies! Millie delivered three health pups today, two girls and a boy! She ended up with a complicated labor and delivered by C-section so not all was ideal, but we are thankful for the lovely three pups we have!
