Last night I was sitting around the fire with one of the puppies in their mom, Claire. I decided to go in as the fire faded. I brought the puppy in and then put Claire inside the fence when I called her in, she insisted that she did not want to go back in the house(she has a way of telling me what she wants) so I put the puppy in and I kind of slam the door because it upset me, I left her out there inside the fence then I came back out and I asked her what she wanted and she showed she she wanted to go over the fence. So I tossed her out there (over the 24” high fence) and went back in the house, slammed the door and watched out the window. She was just being stubborn. But when I looked outside, she jumped up into the chair around the fire. I guess she just wasn’t done sitting around the fire, chilling away from her puppies and enjoying the night sounds. I went out and joined her.

Well, here they are. Winston and Claire’s three puppies all females they were born on April 11, 2024 18 days old today.
This litter is very special to me, since the sire Winston passed away shortly after conceiving this litter. We love him and miss him still today. He was a wonderful, very affectionate very protective dachshund. I am proud to have these three little puppies to carry on his legacy. The chocolate and tan is reserved.
