Our lovely Lionel, the squishy boxer pup has found his forever home just in time for Christmas! He will stay right here in Texas, joining a boxer loving family including boxer sisters Roxy and Diva. Introductions went fantastic with his new mom reporting that he is a very confident puppy! Lionel’s new name is Loki and we wish him a very happy life!

I know… Shirley says what the cold? 28 degrees is nuts. It’s a good day to play inside.
Shirley does not have a cleft. She is a sweet little girl and can be a bit nervous but she’s gaining more confidence each day. She loves playing with her foster siblings. She is a picky eater and would rather play than eat. She sleeps quietly all night in her post yard all snuggled up on her fluffy p**f bed.

Heading back into class tonight, let’s learn all about the cleft lip.

Cleft lips, like cleft palates, vary significantly from one puppy to another. A puppy with a cleft lip requires tube feeding because the condition hinders their ability to achieve a proper latch, making it difficult for them to receive sufficient nutrition. This can lead to severe issues, including significant underweight, dehydration, hypoglycemia, and even the risk of death.
