We have some new things going on at lessons! The other night we did the bareback lemonade race! Riders had to trot bareback to their barrel, grab the lemonade without dropping it & back to the finish line! 🤍
Harper
Harper was able to trot for the first time by herself on miss Rose’ ! Super proud of this girl! 🥰
Evie & Chimay trotting the afternoon away! 🩷
Lu
Our first run back at our FAVORITE ARENA! 😍🙌🏼
I haven’t raced here since since December 17th 2023 and then I got injured a couple months later. That day we ran an 18.165, and I’m happy to report that after coming back from an injury & so many other obstacles, today we ran a 19.02! And we were only .02 away from a check! 🥰🤍
Lu is definitely such a veteran & I need to get it together so we can be even faster next time! However that is still .5 faster than our last run! 😍
Here is to making improvements, getting faster & never giving up!
Thank you to Karsyn for always being in our corner!
Also thank you to our first sponsor Squeeze-It hay sales for providing our horses with top quality hay! Please message Gerardo Almanza to order & free delivery in the west valley! 🥳🙌🏼
If you are interested in sponsoring us this rodeo season please DM me! 🥰🩷
Halloween race today!!! 💀🎃👻Both of my mares were amazing! I only raced Lu, & even though we slipped Around the first, she kept going and made up for it on the second and third! 17.694 🥳🤩 thank you to my support team 🥰We won 1st in the 3D sidepot & 7th overall. We even shaved another .2 seconds off our run from last week! I’m excited to run again tomorrow! Thank you again Squeeze-It hay sales & owner Gerardo Almanza for keeping my barrel horses happy and healthy with quality hay! Message him for all our hay needs in the west valley! 🤍 If anyone else is interested in sponsoring us this rodeo season please message me!
You win some, you lose some!
3 positive things about my run tonight:
1. Lu had a gash above her left eye, but still ran like nothing happened.
2. I didn’t lose my reins over her head at barrel 2.
3. I sat back in my saddle more than my last run!
3 things to work on:
1. Get to the race earlier to allow more warm up time.
2. Don’t let my last run make me nervous, I was hesitant at barrel 2 because I lost my reins last time.
3. Trust my horse & let her run harder, I’m still so worried about my knee, I don’t let her go full speed.
I have 2 races next week and I only plan on getting better! I ran a 20.4 last week, and we ran a 19.8 tonight! So .6 seconds faster in one race!
Dragon was also phenomenal, so I may be racing her in the next two weeks! Cheers to improving and chasing our 17s!
Thank you to my first sponsor who keeps my horses healthy and happy! Squeeze-It hay sales let them know about your hay needs!
Maverick
Maverick’s first time with the surcingle & he did fantastic! He did not pop up once! Teaching him to collect and get that head down 🩷
Ponies
Morning training with Dune and Bruno 🤍
Evie
Evie did her first trot all by herself today! Chimay made sure to take care of her! We are so blessed to have such amazing horses! Great job sweetie! 🩷
Emma
Emma trotting with no stirrups on pancake! She did the entire lesson with no stirrups! So proud! 🩷
Lu & I back at it
Here is our run from Friday night! It was our first run back in 7 months! My hat flew off, my reins went completely over Kahlua’s head at barrel 2, but we still rocked it & she took care of me & acted like it never happened! 🥰 next race is this Friday in Buckeye!
Parker and Sparky
Parker had AN AMAZING lesson on Sparky tonight!
We have been working on loping the last few lessons & she FINALLY got it! 🥰
Way to go cowgirl! I can’t wait to see you continue to conquer your dreams 🙌🏼🥳🤩
