Don't let pet food labels fool you! 🐕 You’d think they prioritize animal protein, right? Not always. Some kibble marketers use sneaky tricks to mislead you. 😡

Here’s the truth: Ingredients are listed by *initial weight*, not the final product. Meats like chicken may appear first, but they’re packed with water—up to 70%! Once processed and dried, the real protein content shrinks dramatically.

📉 Imagine this: A kibble bag claims "Chicken" as the first ingredient. Sounds great, right? But after drying, most of that weight disappears, leaving only a small percentage of actual chicken. Meanwhile, those dry ingredients (like corn meal) stay heavy and dominate the kibble.

Translation? That "Chicken" kibble might actually be "Corn Meal" kibble. 🫣

January is National Train Your Dog Month! We have spaces available for obedience and agility classes in January, for dogs of all ages! These are four to six week classes designed to teach your furry friend basic household manners and life skills. AKC Agility League Fall 2024 results are in! These are fantastic results for Medina Swarm's first time participating. Our team members on the Freshman Team "The Swarm" were Remy, Journey, Nitro, Kika, Fish & Luna. The Senior Team "Senior Swarm Bees" included Bolt, Fury, Mozzie & Dacoda. Congratulations everyone!
