Of all the seasons in Ohio, spring is my least favorite. Mud upon mud and erratic temperatures. But one of the best parts is seeing the weanlings come out of their winter cocoons and become butterflies. Each one is always surprising but this buckskin Morgan filly made me make a double take. Blossom was one of those “things fall together purchases”
She is going to be a superstar in any arena she chooses. And her gorgeous color is just a bonus.

It’s an incredible experience to see a young horse you bred and raised in center ring collecting a blue ribbon.
But it does not even compare to the emotions of seeing them creating the next generation of Morgan lovers ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes the most exquisite beauty is in a plain brown wrapper.
Hermie (aka TFF Astraeous ) is so pretty you can easily mistake him for a mare. And with TFF Selene as a mother and JAX Silver Lining as his sire did you really think he could be anything but eye-popping.
And he doesn’t have “all the chrome “ to distract you from the perfection that is Hermie. LOL
I still want to take him home and put him in my house.

When we left it was summer and when we returned it was definitely fall.
The cold chill did not damper the celebration of Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show for us and our horses.
Each member of little crew took home roses and we couple to be prouder❤️❤️
Tory works so hard every day and but Dallas(Jax Killian Gold) and Ghost (Jax Silver Lining ) came away with championship tricolors in First level and Training level Amateur
Dallas also had some great over fences classes and was reserve in the Bridle Path Hack and 3 rd in the Hunter hack
Ghost had a score of over 80% and was Reserve in the Freestyle
Special thanks to Kathryn Schwartz for breeding these two superstars.

TFF Seastrong made me proud and was Reserve Champion in the Training Open division and was Champion of the Freestyle And he came loaded for bear in the Sport Horse Undersaddle and was Third out of 19 horses. Pretty impressive for a horse that was doing Western Pleasure last year and had never worn a dressage saddle in his life. But I was not surprised coming from a Gamborian son.

One last show for 2023….Jax Silver Lining and Tory were offered an invitation to US Dressage Finals in Lexington Ky in November which is an unbelievable honor.

But for the next week these three superstars can run and play and enjoy the cool fall weather

“Parents, let your daughters grow up to be horse girls, because they will learn quickly and repeatedly that life isn’t fair, that hard work is often trumped by Lady Luck, and that every defeat, no matter how terrible, is temporary. Let them dream big and kick on. Let them learn confidence, grace and grit. Let them build big muscles and strong backs.

Let your daughters grow up in the barn. Let them learn that buckets need filling and stalls need cleaning, even when it’s raining, even when it’s frozen, even when they have a different idea for how the day should go.

Let them set goals and reach them. Let them set goals and fail miserably. Let them learn that, if they work incredibly hard, practice like hell, ride the best quality horse they can and take impeccable care of him, they’re sometimes going to get beat by someone with 10 times the money and one tenth the drive.

Teach them to drive trucks and trailers and ATVs. Teach them to change tires and wrap legs and give shots. And let them leave a spur mark, or a bit rub, or a bandage bow, and let them deal with the shame of causing pain to an animal they love.

Let them grow up with horses and with good horse people, because it will teach them to be humble, and to be resilient, and to be brave.”
