Henry deeply appreciated the natural world and animals; he enjoyed spending time at his country home in upstate NY. He was an avid hunter and devoted beekeeper belonging to multiple beekeepers organizations. Henry spent countless hours volunteering at the Rye Nature Center being honored in 2017 with The Volunteer Spirit Award in the Going Green Category. The hours spent sharing his vast knowledge of bees at the Nature Center and the friends he made there were a highlight in his life. Contributing to the community was always a priority for Henry, when his children were young he was both a Little League coach and scout leader.
He passed on his love of animals to his children and often stated "If I come back in another life, I would like to come back as one of my dogs." His family expects his first priority in the great beyond was reuniting with those very dogs who have no doubt been patiently waiting for him to "come home" as they did in life.
