Huge thanks to everyone who attended our Semi-Annual Benefit Horse Show this past weekend! 🐴🏆 What an amazing day it was. There was so much excitement in the air from our riders, attendees, and local vendors!

Now that many of you had the chance to meet her in-person this weekend... we'd like to formally introduce our newest resident, little miss Curly Sue! ➿🐮🌸

Curly Sue was born on April 3rd, 2025, and arrived in our care not even 24-hours after that. She was born on a small, local dairy farm and was immediately separated from her mom. When someone reached out asking for help because this sweet little thing was destined to become veal, how could we say no? Of course, we found room for her. 🫶🏼

The first few days are always a little touch and go, and Curly Sue still requires around the clock bottle feeding🕗🍼 as she grows big and strong enough to eat solid foods! Now that she's out of the woods, we are so excited to introduce her to you!

It is because of supporters like you that we are able to say "yes!" to emergency rescues like this one. If you are able to contribute even $1 toward Curly Sue's care, it would mean the world to us. 🩷

Huge thanks to our friends at Melanin_Unchained for coming to spend the day with us last week! 🧡 This crew of student athletes were such a delight to have onsite. They were able to lend us a hand with some projects that required a bit of muscle while having the unique opportunity to spend time with our rescued residents!

The main goals of the day were to help out another local nonprofit (that's us!), 🫶🏾 expose them to animals they had never had a chance to hang with before, 🐮 flex some essential life skills, 💪🏼 and work together 💕 to make a difference!

Melanin Unchanged is a local nonprofit that focuses on nurturing the Newburgh community through activities that embody and promote civic unity among people of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds and conditions. It means the world to us that they came by to support us!

Gloomy weather got you down? ☁️ We'd like to formally introduce the newest member of our welcoming committee at the farm... our sweet little Mona! 🧡

Mona was found living in an empty house that her previous caretaker was renovating to sell. Since the house was being flipped to sell, Mona was living all by herself! 🙀 Eventually, winter rolled around... and Mona's caretaker couldn't afford to keep heating the house just for her. We aren't 100% clear why Mona's caretaker didn't want to bring her home with him,💔 but we are so grateful that we were able to take her into our care to be spoiled rotten for the rest of her days! 🫶🏼

Mona is exceptionally friendly and sweet, so she realllllllly lays it on thick for our visitors. Car door open? 🚗 Mona's ready to head home with you. Empty saddle? 🐎 Honestly, put a helmet on her and ride off into the sunset. Got nothing to do with your hands? She'll happily let you carry her around like a baby. 👩🏻‍🍼 Mona is just happy to be wherever people are... and we're so glad she's with us!

We wanted to share an update on the sweet yearling🦌 that we found on the side of the road after being hit by a car during the icy rainstorms on Thursday. ❄️

We are thrilled to report that after a visit with the veterinarian, he is stable and resting comfortably... in a dog bed, in one of our thermal goat jackets! 🔥💛 We are administering fluids and an anti-inflammatory to help with his healing while he rests up in our care.

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of support for this little guy. It might be a little unconventional to some to see us caring for a wild animal, but every life matters to us here at The Farm and we will always open our door to those who need help. 🫶🏼

The ultimate goal is to release the yearling back into the wild once he is well enough, but in the meantime... what should we name him? ⁉️ If you ➡️make a $5 donation on this post,⬅️ please let us know and leave a comment with your name submission!
