Breeding, competing, and promoting the English C**nhound. Previously Night Legend English C**nhounds. Maine Kennel License 6900

We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. Our breeding dogs have been screened for genetic conditions and come from generations of titled dogs with proven bloodlines. Our puppies are provided with the best start possible to give them the best chance at success, whether that be as a family pet and/or in competition and hunting.

Nite Hunt not Night Hunt

To this day, the activity of treeing raccoons with hounds is called a “nite” hunt, with the intentional misspelling meant by the sport’s devotees as a tip of the coonskin cap to the untutored backwoodsmen who developed the B&T and America’s other coonhound breeds.

Among the early coonhound enthusiasts was the legendary explorer, huntsman, and “cooner” Daniel Boone, whose beloved Kentucky became a hub of coonhound breeding. Truly, the B&T and his coonhound kinfolk are America’s dogs.

In 1945, the B&T became the first coonhound breed registered by the AKC. 🐾

Delilah got mail! We have a new Show Champion :)

Had a great day at the Pine Tree C**n, Cat & Bear Hunters Association UKC Event and English Sectional today. Delilah won class and breed handled by Leah, Clarabelle won Champion Females handled by Audrianna, Maevis won Grand Champion Females handled by Leah. Then the three of them competed for English Queen of Show with Maevis handled by Leah winning. Clarabelle got line in the registered field trial. Taber (from Slim x Maevis last litter) won class.
