You guys are awesome and have been bringing me some pretty impressive bucks! I appreciate every single one of you and wish you luck during the 2nd week of rifle.

Remember, I don't do anything quick. I don't cut corners, boil, spray paint your head white, or anything like that. I ensure all grease is out of your skull before returning it, and unfortunately, that's a slow process. However, I'm here to give you the cleanest skull in the area and I know you'll be happy with the final product. Thanks, everyone!

P.S. Enjoy this picture of my son's first deer that he got yesterday.

Good luck tomorrow to all you WV hunters! Remember we will be hunting too so if we don’t answer your call right away, leave us a voicemail or a text and we will get back to you as soon as we are out of the woods. Don’t forget if you bring us a deer the first week of gun season, you will receive a free basic hanger. I’ll be here all week for drop off and we can also arrange meet ups if it works better for you. Thanks again, go get them big bucks and have fun!

When I started out with this business, I wanted to make sure I was doing things in the best way possible. I did a lot of research and I'm still always keeping up with the latest tricks and advice on getting the best quality mounts in the least amount of time. As it stands, to get a white and fully degreased deer that will not turn yellow and start stinking over time, I use beetles and a degreasing process that can take a few months to get all the grease fully out of bone. Can you go and get a guy down the road to boil your skull and get it in a few days? Absolutely! And a lot of people are OK with that. But the downsides to boiling are that the skulls will most likely turn yellow/greasy and smell down the road....and the bones usually get brittle and many of the nose pieces may break off during the boiling process. So whatever option you choose is completely based on what you want for your mount. I like to throw a post out there on this every year just to let people know the differences in the process I use vs boiling. (The picture below is from a customer who compared one of the skulls he had done by us and one of the skulls he had boiled from a prior year) Thanks to everyone for your business, and I'm rooting for you to get your target buck this year. Happy hunting!

With fall hunting seasons just around the corner, we wanted to remind everyone of a few things:
1. With warmer temperatures, you'll need to get the head to us as quick as you can or stick it in your freezer until you have time to meet. Rotten heads will have a $30 'gag' fee added to the total.
2. Skulls are done in the order received so the sooner we get it, the sooner you'll get it back.
3. Heads WILL NOT be taken without a DNR confirmation number from check-in.
4. We don't promise quick turnarounds. We fully degrease every skull (unless beetle-clean only is requested). Every skull is different and varies in grease/oil levels. We will give an estimated time frame based on experience, but please know that time may be quicker or even take longer. We make sure all the grease is gone to ensure you have the cleanest skull possible that will not stink, turn yellow, etc. in the future, like they do with boiled skulls.
5. This season's prices: Deer=$120, Pronghorn=$150, Bear=$225, Boar & Longhorn=$350. Ask for any other species or special requests. If it has bones, we can clean it.
6. A deposit is required at drop-off and is half the price of your mount.
7. Skinning is not required.
8. Bronzing for deer and bear will be an additional $60. Bronzing on smaller animals, such as coyote, will be an additional $40. We use a 5-day process for bronzing. If you have a skull that has already been cleaned, we will happily bronze that, too.
9. We are a licensed fur-buyer and will purchase skulls that have not been head shot. Reach out if you have any questions.
10. We sell plaques and metal hangers of various designs. We can add this to your mount or sell separately if you already have a euro mount that you need to hang.

Good luck this season and we hope you'll let us get your buck naked! We strive for top-quality mounts and ultimately want your trophy to look good on the wall forever!

Sent a couple big guys home this week. The bigger one scored 155 6/8". Both are Wood County, WV deer off the same farm.

The one came as a set of sheds due to being headshot and we mounted those to a replica skull. Keep that in mind for future shed sets or racks you have laying around!
