I am a fiber artist that loves working with all kinds of animal fibers. I love color and that translates into some wonderful and colorful roving, batts, rolags, art batts, art roving, art rolags and all the yarn spun from those materials. s that aren't of fine quality or wonderful color, I'm the girl to see. All of my wool and alpaca fleece is sourced from Fehrenbacher Farm in Milton Freewater, Oregon. Maryjane treats her animals like pets! They are pasture raised and eat grass and grains. They are extremely happy animals that produce wonderful fleece. I have recently acquired a couple of Llama fleeces from a small local farm. They are 4-H projects for their teenaged children. I have kid mohair from a woman in Milton Freewater that kept two Angora goats as family pets. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde. She was no longer able to keep them with her and they went to a local farm and have a good home. I have the fiber from our local TV Super Star, Izzy the Camel. It's all down and it's very soft and warm. Izzy is so loved and well treated. You'd think he was the family dog instead of livestock. He was even the best man at his owners wedding. He is one spoiled and loved 4 legged human. I also work with material sourced from the Pendleton Woolen Mill(r) in Pendleton Oregon. I purchase loom selvage from the mill, and turn it back into fiber for you to spin or I can make it into yarn for you. This is wool that is normally used to make blankets so it would not be suitable for a garment, but it makes wonderful accessories such as purses and very warm outerwear.
