Magnificent Illinois buck that got taken out by
EHD last August. Luckily he was found soon enough that the velvet the buzzards didn't pick off was salvageable. The hunter had his sheds from the year prior and this was his target buck.
Didn't want him to go to waste so he brought him all the way to Kansas

With Kansas deer season getting started just a reminder- even if you don’t bring me your September deer to mount, the cape is still worth something. I do Free euro skulls for quality capes off of mature bucks. Just be sure to handle the animal carefully! Gut it right away and get it cooled off by moving air, never wash out the cavity with water or soak any part in ice water or salt water.

Beautiful Illinois buck that had been in a fight or two. More or less had half his nontypical rack broken off. Luckily there were enough trail cam pictures to know exactly what he grew to put it all back together. I think naming deer is dumb but I call this one Humpty Dumpty. Thanks to for coming over to take some phenomenal studio pictures of him. Get ahold of Marlin for all your videography/ photography needs- and he has a pretty sweet drone too.

Good luck youth hunters! This time of year can be tough with the heat to keep your animal from spoiling, the best thing to do is get it field dressed right away, and get it hung up with lots of air moving around it! Do NOT wash them out with water, or put meat/hide in water! This will only cause bacteria to spread.

Putting any warm meat or hide in the freezer will trap the body heat in the middle while the outside freezes, causing it to spoil.

Remember early season capes from mature deer are worth something! I do free euros for youth hunters who bring in a quality mature cape. Velvet preservation is also important should you harvest a velvet buck, and I have the ability to preserve or replace velvet.

And as always, youth mounts are $100 off
