Bambi’s Journey 🦌 ❤️
Well today almost marks 2 weeks for Bambi since she was born. Today she had a work day with mommy. She had lots of ooohs and aaahs lol. This is her taking a long and much needed nap on the drive home.

Bambi’s Journey Update
We are home!! Dr. Steven’s at Deason Veterinary Hospital was AMAZING and reasonably priced at only $81.50!!
He can’t perform surgery on her mandible because it has been to long since it happened and it is infected so she is on antibiotics. He was very optimistic about a full recovery but expects that we will have to go back in a few weeks to have what he believes will be an abscess that will form over the broken bone. That procedure could cost as much as $1500 but no more as he said that’s the max he would charge us. I am super thankful to everyone who has supported us and her through our GoFund me account and 100% of the funds received will be used for her care. I can’t wait to see how she overcomes this disability as she has the most spirited personality ever. If you are interested in meeting her or any of the other animals on our farm, please reach out to me and we can make that happen.
**Also, that is Ducky in the picture with Bambi, she is our only duckling right now so she has found companionship with Bambi

She’s so stinking cute!! Such a lively sprite despite her current medical condition which should soon be fixed. I can’t wait to introduce her to Peanut when she is better.

Update - After a long day of phone calls and searching, I have the greatest news!! Bambi and I will be taking a 1.5 hr drive tomorrow morning to Floresville Texas to see Deason Veterinary Hospital where they plan on treating her. I’m excited that the long hours of googling and making phone calls has paid out with vet that can take care of her. More updates as they become available.

As you all know I often rescue animals, well today Miss Bambi has been given to me to raise. She started out with a hard life already. She is 5 days old and was trampled and abandoned by her mother. During this traumatic experience it appears that her lower jaw was broken. Tomorrow I will be coordinating to have the vet repair it. After googling jaw surgery for a cat it can cost in average between $850 and $3000. I am trying to raise money to help pay for this surgery as it’s creating a problem for her to nurse correctly. If you find it in your heart to assist even $1 will go along way towards helping me ensure that she has a long life with Peanut here on the farm.
