Now Hiring: Additional groom for 17 stall Hunter/Jumper facility in Warrenton, Virginia.

Are you passionate about horses and looking for a rewarding position in the equestrian industry? We are seeking an experienced groom to join our team!
Duties include:
• General horse care, including feeding, grooming, and health monitoring-ability to give oral medication and obtain temperatures. Intramuscular injections ideal but can be taught.
• Stall cleaning and maintaining a tidy barn environment
• Turning horses in and out, ensuring safety and comfort
• Tacking and untacking horses for clients-placing boots and polo wraps
• Assisting in sending clients off to horse shows
• Farm maintenance and upkeep
• Additional monetary opportunities through body clipping and traveling to horse shows, as time allows
Requirements:
• Experience working with horses in a grooming or related capacity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role
• Positive attitude and strong English communication skills
What We Offer:

The sweetest gentle giant is looking for the perfect situation in an in barn lease. Coolio has been showing in the 2’6 Low Children’s and 3’ Adults at local and rated shows and various 3’ divisions with a professional since purchase in March 2024. Trailer to ring. Always jumps. Beautiful, hack winning mover. Flat jump for his size. Due to his size and age, please no beginners.

Very reasonable on farm lease with showing opportunities available immediately. Expenses plus a small lease fee. Must lesson at least once a week with MSF Equestrians. No outside trainers.

First Capital Challenge for Alexandra Dastjerdi and “Tarantino” ✅

Nothing like being on the waitlist until 5:30PM the NIGHT BEFORE showing in the Adults 18-35 at one of the biggest shows in the country. We had prepared as if we were in, had everything organized to make a last minute move-we did it, and Alex killed it! So proud of this pair and cannot wait to see the next year together!

Trainer, Mary Ficklin.

Mary Ficklin was born in the true horse country of Fauquier County, Virginia. Growing up in Delaplane, Mary's love for horses started at a very young age. At age 5, she began her love for riding at Madcap Farm. Very soon weekly lessons turned into leasing ponies and everyday trips to the barn. Around age 10, Mary started showing on the local VHSA hunter/jumper circuit and eventually broadening into the A circuit hunters.

In 2008, Mary bought her first investment horse, Sebastian. Sebastian was one of a kind and ended up not being for sale as planned. Mary competed Sebastian and many other horses very successfully in the local and A rated Children's hunters, Medals, and Equitation as a junior rider. She has many year end awards including high point rider, high point trainer, and several high point division awards. Since 2014, Mary is an Equine Veterinary Technician at the Piedmont Equine Practice in The Plains, Virginia.
