🌟 Mary and the Manger Puppies Are Off to a Brighter Future! 🌟
Today, thanks to an incredible team effort, Mary and her 10 tiny puppies took flight to a safer, brighter future! With the support of Seuk’s Army, this sweet little family was flown to Virginia, where the amazing team at Squishy Face Crew (SFC) in Fredericksburg will help them on the next step of their journey—finding forever homes full of love.
This rescue is a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together for the greater good of the animals. From the neighbor who refused to ignore their cries, to the pilot who made their flight possible, to SFC opening their arms to this family—every single person played a vital role in saving their lives.
Mary and her pups are now safe, warm, and one step closer to the happy ending they deserve. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of so many who worked together to make this rescue happen.

🌟 Meet Mary and the Manger Puppies 🌟
This brave mama, now lovingly named Mary, gave birth to her 10 precious puppies in an abandoned trailer. Her instincts led her to a closet in the back, where she tried to keep them safe. But life in such a place is no way to raise a family.
A compassionate neighbor heard tiny cries and knew she had to act. With her brother’s help, they broke down the door and found Mary and her newborns huddled together. On their way out, they discovered a little male dog trapped beneath the deck—he hadn’t made a single sound but was desperately in need of rescue too.
That’s when we got the call. With the help of some friends with Seuk’s Army, we’re working on the next step: flying this little family to a safer, warmer place where they can thrive and celebrate their first holiday season together.
For now, Mary and her pups are tucked in for the night, but this is just the beginning of their journey. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as we work to get them to safety.

MANDATORY SPAY NEUTER ALABAMA
A concerned citizen spotted this dog living on a chain with a rusted out boxspring for a bed and no shelter. She brought him to the attention of Tails from Alabama. They put out the alert to reputable local rescues. Notorious D.O.G Dog Rescue offered to accept him for care and placement in a forever home, and Every Paw (a collaboration of Alabama animal rescues, including Precious Paws Rescue Alabama, and KittyPup Rescue ), agreed to rescue him from his current conditions and transport him to Notorious D.O.G.
These Alabama dog rescues understood at a glance what this dog represented, beyond just neglect and misery. As an unaltered Blue Pittie in Alabama, this dog was nearly guaranteed to be stolen, bought, or otherwise forced into the Alabama backyard breeder business.
In Alabama, you can buy, sell, or breed, whatever dog you want, tax-free, and with nearly zero requirements for the care of the animal, and nearly zero consequences if you abuse, neglect, mistreat, or otherwise harm or kill an animal. And many dogs like this end up with dog fighters that breed, sell, fight, and kill with no laws stopping them, so of course they get away with it. AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Luckily, this is a very nice dog. He welcomed his rescuers, and has been willing to get in cars, and meet new people. He even let us draw blood for a heartworm test with zero issues, met other dogs with no aggression, and was just grateful to have shelter and a bed.
What if that was not the case? What if he was aggressive? Aggressive dogs run loose in Alabama every day. Horses, goats, cattle, sheep, chickens, and even people are killed by dogs in Alabama. How is this acceptable?
It is NOT anymore. We Alabama rescues are tired of explaining to other states why we can’t control our dog population, and why we keep dumping more and more of our dogs on people, rescues, and shelters in other states. It doesn’t solve the problem.

Last night, our team received a heartbreaking message—alerting us to a young, starving dog left alone and desperate for help. Though we’re stretched thin and technically closed to intake, we simply couldn’t turn our backs on him.Our rescuer found him scared and uncertain, but with patience and kindness, she slowly earned his trust. Finally, she brought him back to our rescue, where we made room for him.Now, he has a long road to recovery ahead.
