Prayers for Asher’s recovery 🙏🏻

Hi friends, Nicole is busy so you got Cat's Human back for a limited engagement.

Early yesterday morning Nicole noticed Asher wasn't acting normal, and that he became lethargic and was moving abnormally. She took him to the vet and his condition seemed to deteriorate even more significantly with some rather alarming symptoms presenting, with further testing not indicating anything good.

This prompted a trip to Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency where Asher was put through more testing to determine what was causing his condition.

Just after midnight the decision was made to release Asher. Nicole is keeping a close eye on him. He's been given fluids and medication, and the Vet Doc believes they have a solid treatment plan to help him start recovering even as we await the results of further testing.

We want to thank for showing up to support Nicole and Asher, as well as Chief Perdue, and all of the command staff for their support. We'd also like to thank Inspector Conrad with the Charlotte Regional Fire Foundation (who manages our funds) for waiting up for the phone call from the vet hospital to get them paid so Asher could go home.

These dogs do amazing things for our first responders, and this program has been entirely funded through donations since its inception. The fund took a pretty good hit last night, and Asher isn't out of the woods yet.

With the cold 🥶 weather upon us I (via my awesome clients!) have finally found a really great winter dog coat! It is warm and reflective….Zips up easily and you can attach your leash to it!!!

Jersey reported for duty at the early morning roll call for her CMPD division this morning! Our pups love bringing some stress relief to officers before they go out on their shifts!
