We often hear the phrases ‘small dog syndrome’ or ‘he thinks he’s bigger than he is’.
The truth is smaller dogs can get louder because they need to shout to be heard. Because they get it rough.

They get manhandled, laughed at and lifted from their feet without warning. The smallest often have the littlest control over their lives. These dogs are very aware of their size and that’s why they need to make sure they are heard.

A very common culprit (or at least contributor) to my aggression cases is tooth pain!! This is a brilliant idea and I urge everyone to donate (even $1, $5, or $1 billion all add up) and share!

Senior dogs like Noella should not have to suffer in silence. That’s why we launched our Tooth Fairy Fund:

In January, Noella arrived to us emaciated and shut down, letting out a heartbreaking squeal whenever touched, as if she were in pain. 💔

It wasn’t until her first vet visit that we began to understand why Noella was so sensitive to touch: her mouth was full of infected, rotted teeth!

Nineteen extractions and $1,300 later, we met a whole new dog! 💖

Looking for a foster!! Lewis County NY (north of Syracuse/Utica). Super friendly, appears good with dogs, potentially cats, sweet temperament despite pain! Currently at vet but needs a safe spot to heal
