As we’ve talked about previously, female birds of prey aka raptors are generally larger than the males. You can really see a size difference here. Even though this female Bald Eagle is immature, she is much bigger than the adult male.
I also want to thank my dear friend Tom Christman for this beautiful Kestrel box. He took the time to hand make it for us. He also brought a Bobcat and huge load of wood as we are building again. This enclosure will be circular and look like a vintage round Victorian bird cage, but very large and roomy. It should be ideal size for medium-large birds such as Red-tailed Hawks and Great Horned Owls. Owl Ridge Raptor Center

So, last night with Steph Cabell I was carrying around a piece of tree bark and someone ask me why, haha, so I was showing how well Fizzgig is camouflaged against the bark. Also known as cryptic coloration. Pretty cool eh?

This is what the donation page looks like at rodentpro ( people had asked) you just pick the state and it’s alphabetical and they also take PayPal. Sorry for any confusion.

Frozen Feeder Rodents - Frozen Mice & Feeder Rats for Premium-Quality Reptile and Bird of Prey Food | RodentPro

Hi, a lot of people have recently asked about how they can help support the rehab and care of the birds, so I set up this page! As everyone that knows me already knows, I’m not big business. I have Federal and State permits for raptor rehab and education, but it’s just me on my own. No rehabber gets any funding, state or federal, so all food, medicine and equipment is provided out of pocket. If you would like to help, I am going to set up a PayPal account or you can gift frozen rodents at Rodentpro.com. You can donate to Owl Ridge Raptor Center in these ways or contact me directly. Thank you and much love.❤️

Specializing in the production and distribution of premium frozen feeder animals including mice, rats, and more to the reptile and birds of prey community.
