“Justice” is a well balanced baroque sport type stallion with an exceptional temperament and trainability. He has been lightly started with a strong dressage foundation, never offered to buck or rear, rides ba****ck through the fields, and has also been introduced to harness and line driven on the road in preparation for carriage driving. He has an “old soul” type presence about him, and the mindfulness to “take care of his rider”.

Conformationally he is very correct, has a very good hind end and LS placement, exceptional over track, freedom of reach, and is not “trappy” moving in his gaits.

Pedigree wise, On the sire side, Hessel 480 needs no introduction. One the dam side, Teade, also is well known. Thomas however, is a rarity to find in a US pedigree. Thomas died young in a trailering accident in Holland. To have Thomas in our stallions pedigree, is super special! Things sadly haven’t changed.

I believe the problem also lies in the uneducated breeder and mis-selection of young horses. Many times when you see the natural natural movement of many upper level horses, they do not even track up any more.

Breeders breed, and buyers buy, for a front end moving horse. It’s starting way before the riding part with dressage horses, and sadly even most of today’s “top” breeders don’t understand form to function when breeding for an upper level horse.

I am a hind end, body mover, with swing through the back breeder. As you all know, Royal Graffiti stallion has an INSANE hind end, which should be the norm in breeding vs an insane front.

After you have read the above article, watch the clips in the comments of Royal Graffiti moving. You should ALWAYS see parallelism of the hind cannon with the front, in a NATURAL state of movement in our dressage bred horses, but sadly 90% don’t have the hind. Their front is always ahead. When will this change? When will breeding start to focus on back to front, as we are told to ride and train the upper level horse. Where is the engagement and sit? The power?

Why aren’t there videos out there of the top dressage stallions moving free for breeders to evaluate???

Look at Royal Graffiti’s natural movement. Look at his hind end.

Sharing our new filly, and her story:

Royal Reflection DQS aka “D’Eva” (Diva).
Palomino Tobiano ISR Oldenburg filly born 6/24/24
Look at the pedigree as I explain how much of my life and horses I have bred and owned in this filly. This, along with her sire Royal Graffiti, are my life’s work.

This filly is my first 5th generation bred and my young Royal Graffiti KWPN NL Dutch Warmblood Pinto Stallion’s first born. I purposely line bred her, doubling up on my homebred approved Oldenburg stallion Saint Sandro.

On her sire side I bred: Royal Graffiti, Saintly Appointed (owned her dam Dressen Fancy), Saint Sandro, SES Hailey (owned her dam Rollingwood Kandi), and purchased Severn El Shaddai when I was 15yrs old with my babysitting money. I also bred her dam St. Seraphina, and sire line as also above, and via the dam, I owned Miakoda, and the stallion Maxamillion.

I added a second color coded pedigree to explain:
Blue: horses I bred
Pink: horses I owned

She is not, nor ever will be for sale, although I already have had someone express interest on a future custom ET. 😳 I responded “ she’s not even a week old yet” 😂 but it’s definitely something to think about in the future for her.

She is an absolute blessing.

A very rare palomino tobiano Warmblood with NO Samber, Ico, or other related pinto lines!! We will have to test to see if we hit the holy grail and if she is also possibly homozygous tobiano.

She is the first of this line to be eligible for Main Mare Book approval and will produce full Oldenburg foals! We believe she may also be the first non-Samber, Ico, etc palomino pinto warmblood and Totilas great granddaughter in the world!

We are pleased to announce that so far this first season Royal Graffiti has a 100% success rate for all our cooled semen clients!! We are looking forward to seeing your Fiti foals next year and will continue to offer collections late into the season.

We have also decided to offer a late season breeding special to 3 mare owners who have been unsuccessful with other stallions this year. $500 to cover collection fee and our gas to/from the repro center 1.5hrs away, and then $500 upon a confirmed pregnancy. Shipping / container fee in addition at the current standard rate.

One of our planned 2024 breedings:

Royal Graffiti KWPN NL Dutch Warmblood Pinto Stallion to our royally bred TB mare Alexandrak.

Alexandrak is a 2020 17h Thoroughbred mare by Jess’s Dream out of City Attack. She is a direct granddaughter of not one, but two famous Preakness Winners: the great 2009 Horse of the Year “Rachel Alexandra” and 2007 and 2008 Horse of the Year “Curlin”.

Extensively line bred Northern Dancer, and on the bottom side through In Reality, Bold Ruler, and Secretariat. This mare has Royalty throughout her pedigree and was made for distance!

We aquired Alexandrak to specifically breed to our stallion Royal Graffiti. We were very impressed by the quality of her gaits and conformation and expect their offspring to excel in both the dressage and eventing rings.

St. Champana Amore is a rare amber Champagne 2015 ISR Oldenburg, approved Main Mare Book mare. He foals are eligible for registration as full Oldenburg.

“Ana” is one of 2 (full sister “Shampgne Love” also owned by DQS) Main Mare Book Oldenburg approved Warmblood mares in the world.

Ana is the first Champagne to ever receive a Premium status (8.2/8.2/8.2 overall 8.2). She was successfully shown as a weanling placing 1st in the fillies class at Dressage at Stone Tavern, going on be named Res Champion Young Horse Champion, and qualifying for GAIG East Coast Breeders Championships Finals at Devon. She also placed 5 out of a large class of 16 in the open current year fillies class at Dressage at Devon. She is one of only 2 Champagne ISR Oldenburg's in the world without any AQHA/APHA, stock, gaited, or draft blood. In 2023 she then went on to produce the world’s first champagne Sandro Hit lined Friesian x Warmblood filly that sold for and impressive 18k within 5 mins of listing to a private colored friesian breeder.

She has been a top producer for us and this future foal by Royal Graffiti promises to be the most impressive of all. Foal will be registered full Oldenburg and has a chance of champagne and/or pinto.

A commentary for uneducated pinto Warmblood breeders:

When we see outside comments in reference to our KWPN stallion Royal Graffiti saying things such as: “oh, he has “paint” or APHA blood generations back”, some make think we feel discredited. This is most certainty not the case. If anything, we automatically know this comes from someone who is uneducated in the world of pinto Warmblood breeding. It comes from a place to make certain lines seem “less than”, when, once you do the research , you will find just the opposite and see that in actuality the APHA is by far the lesser of the 3 “evils” to also include the ominous “unknown” and Groninger draft found in the pedigrees of Ico and Samber.

Everyone can agree in at least this: All pinto Warmbloods derive from somewhere at a starting point.

However, you must then take things a step deeper. If you compare the pedigrees of the only 2 other pinto foundation lines in KWPN history (Ico and Samber/Tina D) vs Royal Graffiti and look at the pedigrees side by side and click through the photos of their ancestor’s “type”, it’s easy to then make decisions on concerns of lineage of the 3 breeds: “unknown” on the 3rd generation and Groninger draft of Ico and Samber/Tima D, vs a 7/8’s TB APHA at the same point on Royal Graffit. These are the 3 foundation starting points within the pinto foundation lines found in KWPN.

We always urge breeders to do their homework to see the “type” of where each lines color originated if there are any concerns. The blood and ancestor type is easy to find. Just click on the photo icons on the pedigrees.

It is a passion of ours to find where the color comes from, the breeds and “types” back in the pedigrees of our beloved colored Warmbloods.

I feel if we as breeders just “jump in” without knowing, we do ourselves a disservice. Knowledge is a powerful tool, especially when researching pedigree and type of the ancestors that built today’s horses. Things like “unknowns, drafts, or paint’s “ can’t so easily be just thrown out with the bath water… just as you shouldn’t throw Ico or Samber out for their “unknown” or Groninger draft blood, vs Royal Graffiti for his 7/8 TB APHA blood.

Generations down, what has been blended in? Where are we at NOW? What is the modern TYPE before us now that we have to work with? If there are concerns deep with a pedigree, which type do you choose to pull generational type from now? Does it matter? Do you weigh all other aspects within the pedigree or focus on the draft or APHA. If so, do you then weigh the “unknown” wild card? And also how close any “questionable” blood is on a pedigree’s generation?

Again, knowledge is a powerful tool. If there are concerns, dig deep, find the variables and types, and then find the lesser risk that will best suit your breeding goals.
