Last week, we rescued 20+ dogs from an alleged cruelty case in Louisiana. These dogs are now receiving much-needed veterinary care along with lots of love, but their journeys are far from over.

In a huge win for animals, the Louisville, KY Metro Council voted to stop the sale of puppy mill puppies in pet stores!

The ordinance also stops the sale of puppies and kittens in outdoor markets, like flea markets and parking lots.

HSUS worked closely with local lawmakers, groups, and advocates. This brings us one step closer to the day when cruel puppy mills have nowhere left to sell!
