Adopt Amazing Gracie!
Gracie is an 18-month-old “lovernose.” What she lacks physically, she makes up for in personality! While she is a purebred Ridgeback, she has the personality of a Lab—a great combination of temperament and personality! She is housebroken, crate trained, and knows some commands. She does best with gentle direction and has come so far in her confidence—it’s amazing!
Gracie was born without her front right paw, which never stopped her from doing activities but did compromise her joint mobility and health. She has recently been fitted with a prosthetic leg to help her evenly distribute weight across all four limbs. She has started underwater treadmill therapy to learn how to use her new bionic leg correctly. She can now do all her favorite activities and especially loves running as fast as her dog friends.
Gracie does have mild bilateral elbow dysplasia, likely due to the stress on her “good” leg and the pressure she put on her “bad” leg while growing. Due to the elbow dysplasia and prosthetic leg, Gracie will need to stay lean to minimize pressure on her joints. She is on joint supplements and fish oil, which she will need for life, costing about $44/month. She also needs a prosthetic sock whenever she has her “leg” on, which will need replacing every 6 months at around $90 for 6 socks.
Gracie was also born with a dermoid sinus, which has been surgically removed. Despite her obstacles, she doesn’t let them hinder her kind, gentle heart. Gracie has been living with 3 dogs and children of various ages in her foster home and does well with them all. While Gracie is good with other dogs, she is reserved when meeting new ones. She will need time to acclimate to new friends and learn they mean her no harm. Once acclimated, they surely will be BFFs for life!

🌟 “Estate Sale” puppies ready for adoption🌟
Introducing Dusty, Tchotchke, Trinket, Brooch, and Antique! These pups are just shy of 10 weeks old and are ready to find their forever homes. 🏡
The little treasures have been to the vet, had their first vaccinations, and been wormed. They’re gaining weight and spending their days running, tumbling, and playing with new toys in an exciting space filled with new friends—both two-legged and four-legged. 🐾🎉
All the puppies have wonderful personalities and love spending time with people. They are well-behaved, quick learners, and are already excellent sleepers (and eaters!), making it through the whole night. 🌙💤 And thunderstorms? Not a problem!
These sweeties enjoy early morning cartoons and have a special visitor every evening. An elderly neighbor walks down to cuddle them while enjoying an adult beverage, reveling in their playful antics before being walked home by their foster mom. The puppies absolutely adore children and adults alike! ❤️👵
Out of the five puppies, four are still available for adoption—Tchotchke has already found a loving home with the foster mom’s daughter! 🥰
Though they are Ridgeback mixes, it doesn’t take away from their adorableness aside from their slightly less than correct coloring (well, except for Antique—but we covered her ears for this part!), they do not look overly mixy. There are three girls: two livernoses (one ridged and one ridgeless) and one ridged chocolate nose. And one ridgeless livernose male.
These puppies are ready to start their own treasure hunts! They are located about 45 minutes east of Kansas City Airport, and adopters will need to pick them up in person. It may be possible for the puppies to fly under the seat of a plane for a week or so longer (through the end of May, MAYBE). ✈️🐕
