Meet our friend Harlan. Harlan had surgery with our Specialty Surgery Department in October to remove a large multilobular tumor of bone from one of his facial bones. He is now being treated by our Oncology Department with chemotherapy for a heart base tumor called a chemodectoma. He has done incredibly well after surgery and is doing great on his chemotherapy protocol! We received this video today from his family thankful he is able to enjoy today's snow and saying "It’s truly incredible how much more active and happier he is after his surgery and treatment." We are so happy to see Harlan enjoying his snow day!

LOVE this video of Rooney and his littlest person (perhaps a future veterinarian??) sent to us by his grown-up human 🥰#ThisIsWhyWeDoIt #VetMed
"One year ago I brought my beloved dog Rooney in with something that didn’t seem urgent…but turned out to be a life threatening pneumothorax which required pretty intense lung surgery over Christmas...Thanks to your team’s skillful care, Rooney pulled through and recovered. Christmas night last year was my wife and I checking Rooney’s chest tubes for leaking air. Now he’s snoozing in front of our fireplace.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the extra year you have given me with my best friend. And a good year full of tail wags, snuggles and walks. I feel immeasurable joy and appreciation for every day I have with him. He truly is the best dog. A kind and gentle soul, who loves his family and whose family loves him right back.
Attached is a video of our littlest playing veterinarian with him this morning. Thanks to all who cared for Roone, especially Drs. Murphy, Thies, Glassman and I’m sure many more."
