This handsome, big-hearted gelding is ready to find a partner to learn and grow with. He’s truly a blank slate, having lived with his breeder since birth, and was started under saddle by Martin several years ago. Although Jaxson is 12, he has very low mileage and has been given plenty of time to mature physically and mentally. He’s an eager learner who tries his best with everything asked of him, and he thrives with a calm, confident rider. Jaxson has recently started jumping small courses and is doing beautifully.

TFSH had an incredible weekend at the Waredaca Three Day Classic and Horse Trials!

Martin expertly guided three horses to fantastic finishes, showcasing all their hard work and talent. Erin Durst and Marsha Spencer’s Justified took home the win in the Open Modified, while Sarah Crutchfield’s High Rock placed a strong 2nd in the Open Novice. Our very own homebred, Frame Galactic Z, also secured an impressive 2nd in the Open Novice!

A huge congratulations to the horses and their connections – it’s always rewarding to see their growth!

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes of young horse development, competition prep, and daily horse care while working alongside Martin and Joe, who bring their extensive expertise and passion to every horse they train. Our European-based training system offers riders a deep understanding of horsemanship and skill development.

What We Offer:
Weekly salary, plus a private room in a shared house

Our eventers absolutely shined at the Maryland Horse Trials #3 and the Area II Championships last weekend! Martin was busy this weekend, riding four horses to great results! Johnny Walker P (For Sale) finished 2nd in the Area II Training Championships, missing the top spot by just 0.8 points! Justified (owned by Erin Durst), put in some great work resulting in 2nd in Open Training. Okie Brown (owned by Angela Bailey) continues to impress, and finished 8th in Open Novice A. And High Rock (owned by Kerstin Crutchfield) ended the weekend with a 5th in Open Novice B. Johnny Walker P and Martin put in some great work today at the Area II Championships at The Maryland Horse Trials ! They currently sit in 2nd with a 22.8 in the Training Championships going into tomorrow’s stadium jumping. Shout out to Devoucoux for helping Martin stay balanced on course.

Our Story

Martin Douzant is from Vaucluse, located in the heart of Provence in the south of France. Who knows which direction four-year-old Martin’s life might have taken were it not for a chance meeting with a paint pony named Paquerette during a family vacation. It was love at first sight, if not flat out obsession, and after just one ride Martin’s fate was sealed. The Douzant family returned from their summer vacation and promptly enrolled Martin in the local pony school.

Martin knew at this young age that he would dedicate his life to horsemanship. By middle school, Martin’s evident talents secured him a place in Sport Études de Castelnaudary, the illustrious equestrian high school in Toulouse. In college, Martin specialized in business management for sporting enterprises. He simultaneously earned France’s official BEES First Degree certification, the essential French riding instructor certification. Martin then moved to Scotland to work for and train under Olympic medalist and eventing legend Ian Stark.

Upon his return to France in 2009, Martin opened the doors of The Frame Sport Horses, a business focusing on young horse development. He scoured the breeding farms of Europe to find young, talented horses that he could develop at the start of their careers. Martin realized the need for well-bred, well-trained European horses in the United States. Martin connected with Patricia and David Vos, who asked him to first work with them at Tebogo Sport Horses and introduced Martin Virginia’s riding community. By establishing an operation in the United States with deep knowledge and experience starting young horses, as well as furthering the classical education of both horses and riders, Martin was able to open the doors of The Frame Sport Horses USA in early 2015 in The Plains, Virginia.
