The 9th Annual Doggie Paddle was a huge success! A big thanks to all the humans who brought their 93+ dogs for a day of wet 'n wild fun! Paws & More had a great turn-out for microchipping. Another big thanks goes to the volunteers who helped keep things under control and to Becky Harkema of the YMCA and Tim Widmer of the Parks Dept. for their great attitudes and hard work. PAWS & More Animal Shelter is short on staff so they will not be microchipping at the pool. However, they will microchip at the shelter for the same reduced price of $20, tomorrow only (normally $30). You just need to climb up the hill south of the pool. Their hours are noon to 4:00 pm.

We could use some volunteers to help out at the Doggie Paddle this coming Sunday. Most of the help will be needed for manning the gate, making sure there are no escapes, and doggie traffic control once they are inside. Experience with handling dogs helpful. Just show up at 10 am Sunday! Thanks!
