WWAS Pets This is an independent community page that aids WWAS residents to find adopters through social media.

WWAS is a rural shelter located about 40 miles east of Athens. We specialize in both cat and dog adoptions and occasionally small animal adoptions. We only accept owner surrenders and/or strays from Wilkes county residents.

FIND A HOME FRIDAY!!
Petey is a 5-6 year old American Bulldog who has been with us since March 2025. He had a day out and went to the square and he did fabulous😍 He can load up in a car by himself, rides well in the car, he does great on a leash, everyone he meets is a friend ( human and other dogs), and is just happy to be with people. He is current with his vaccinations, neutered and chipped. He is Heartworm positive, but that is not a problem for him. He has been receiving treatment since he came to the shelter and only needs to continue with a monthly heartworm prevention . Please SHARE,SHARE,SHARE so Petey can find a forever home. If you would like to meet him, please call the shelter at 706-678-2287 or come by 358 Brown Rd. Washington, GA 30673 any Tuesday -Friday 9-2 or Saturday 9-12.

Twinkle is a 5 month old female, spayed
Tuna Noodle Surprise is a 5 month old male, neutered
Both are current with vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative.
They are definitely friends, but they do not have to be adopted together.
