Our Story
Yahweh Farm is perfect example of how much God loves us all. My name is Carrie Garcia and from a very young age I have always had a heart for animals and have always dreamed of owning a big piece of land and filling it with animals. When I met my wonderful husband Steve, he shared his love for animals and this became our passion. He and I met in Virginia and at the time I was a foster mom for the SPCA and always had kittens or pups that were too young to be adopted out. I especially loved having the special needs babies that needed extra love, attention, medications, or rehab.
Fast forward a few years and Steve and I found ourselves out of work and relocated to North Carolina for Steve to start a new job. From the moment we left Virginia we could feel the presence of God working in our lives. We soon started attending a local church and I was water baptized just a few months later. I never knew how much our Father loved me and began to understand how he has always guided me, but he was just waiting for me to ask him for his blessings. During this time Steve and I started praying for a place that we could call our own that our horse M&M could run free and have a few buddies.
When we came across a piece of land totaling 14 acres we began walking and praying circles around it and stood on the promises God made for us. The impossible became possible and our dream home was becoming a reality and our horses had a permanent home to live the rest of their lives on. We soon discovered that this land was a gift from God so we could spread the love of Jesus to everyone who stepped foot on it.
We now have two horses M&M and Tumaini. A timid donkey named Sweet Pea. A bunch of chickens, several ducks, a pair of Royal Palm turkeys named Moe, and Sue, and a Peacock named Hans. We also have 2 Sheep named Julio, and Juan, 3 goats named Sanchez, Gomez, and Selena, 2 Alpaca named Scaly Wag, and Elias. Then in the house there are 4 crazy cats, and 5 dogs. All of these precious babies are rescued and adopted from some really bad situations. Steve and I feel that because Jesus gave his life for us to be saved, that we need to return the love to animals that need to be saved.
In March, 2016 we officially became 501c3 Non-Profit and Yahweh’s Heart was born. We solely depend on donations to keep our farm running, so if you have a birthday party you are planning or just want to bring the kids out, give us a call 252-702-1930 we would to see new faces love on the animals.
