The Northern Border, LLC is excited to announce that we will be hosting a variety of weekly agility classes starting September 25th with esteemed instructor Courtney Huther! 🙌🏻 🐶 🐾 We will be posting a bio of Courtney’s accomplishments in the following days, but trust us, you will not be disappointed 🔥… We only accept the VERY best trainers in the different venues at our facility!

Performance Puppy -
Get your pup started young for a bright future in any sport. Burn off energy, build confidence, body awareness and focus while having loads of fun.

Agile Puppy -
Min Age 3 months
Know you want to do agility in the future with your pup? Then this is the class for you.
Focus, Drive, Confidence and Fun age appropriate games and skills.

Beginner/Intermediate -
Min Age 6 months
Continue to learn teamwork , intro to obstacles and sequencing. Class emphasis will be on both handlers and dogs having FUN while learning the sport of agility.

Agility Coursework -
Pre-Reg - Intermediate Graduate or prior trainer permission
This class will aid both dogs and handlers with polish and skills to navigate courses. Dogs need to have solid obstacle performance and solid recall.

To all of our Dog Friends and Family,

We are raising funds for a long-time client and Doberman lover, Rebecca Dobos, who is a former Navy Veteran, in need of training for her new service dog 🐕‍🦺

Rebecca's former service dog, Chief Sniper, was from our breeding program and was an excellent service companion for 9 long years. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly from an aggressive form of cancer, leaving Rebecca extrodinarily sad, but also, unable to do her daily activities. She is fully reliant on a service dog, and is significantly struggling without a K9 companion. 🐾

Von Schwarz Doberman Kennel and The Northern Border, LLC has donated an excellent service prospect, a working line Doberman Pinscher puppy named Kiloton Kilo von der Schwarz, to Rebecca at no charge. However, due to her limited physical capabilities, she needs to have the puppy trained to a certain extent to help with the overall process. We are looking to raise funds for Kilo's foundation training, and also to transport Kilo to his new home, so Rebecca is able to return to society and live the life she deserves as a disabled veteran. 🐶🐾🇺🇸

All of us at The Northern Border, LLC want to thank all of our Dock Divers for your support during our first season as an IDS Facility! We met some great new 2 and 4 legged friends, and had a blast learning the sport from both a facility and competitor standpoint!… to say we are hooked is an understatement! 🙏🏻🐾🐶

‼️We will still be offering the pool for renters (championship preparation) and private lessons upon request (weather depending) through the beginning of October‼️

❤️A huge shout out to our backbone Johnna Zona for the endless time, dedication, and effort put into making our first season a success, and for the incredible friendship we have created! ❤️

🔥 On a side note, her incredible dogs Rollins and Rio earned some additional titles this weekend at our last event of the year! Rollins doubled up earning his level 2 for Horizon as well as his level 2 for Eclipse. Rio earned his level 1 in Horizon 🔥

Be prepared for more fun, music, food, games, docks, and dogs next year!!! 🥊🥊🥊

We are overwhelmed with excitement with our two dock diving dogs from our last International Dog Sports competition 3rd Time Tradition here at The Northern Border, LLC!!! ❤️

Kata Leistungsblut von der Schwarz IGP3, AS1 achieved her HOXL Level 1 Title after a mere 3 competitions, a personal best of 21.8 ft, her 1st catch, and two invitations to the 2024 IDS International Dock Diving Championship for BOTH Horizon and Velocity!!! ⭐️

Bird Dog Hill’s Nala von der Schwarz (certified narcotics K9) achieved her HOCL Level 1 Title after only 2 competitons, a personal best of 10 ft, and two invitations to the 2024 IDS International Dock Diving Championship for BOTH Horizon and Velocity!!! ⭐️

We are super proud of our girls, and can’t wait to compete at the Championship! 🐶

We are having a BLAST hosting these competitions and meeting some of the BEST people!!! We hope to see you all at our next IDS Event August 16-18th ✔️✔️✔️

Hello All,

We have recently switched over to a different, much more seamless software system for booking building and pool rentals (Acuity) 🐶‼️

The new system is now up and running on our website:

Please remember:

For the agility (turf) rentals: You will not need to pay to reserve your booking (as we have a lot of reoccurring and loyal weekly renters). As usual, please put your cash or check in the black box on the table in the agility room. Additionally, if you have not already done so, please sign our liability waiver also located on the table. Your signature is good for 1 year! 💚

$40/hour for a single renter
$50/hour for a group up to 3 renters
$65/hour for a group of 4+ renters

For the Rubber (obedience/detection) rentals (payment required through the system):

$30/hour for a single renter
$40/hour for a group of 2 or more renters

For the full building (turf, rubber, full kitchen) rentals (payment required through the system):

$70/hour for a single renter
$90/hour for a group up to 3 renters
$105/hour for a group of 4+ renters

Dock Diving Pool (payment required for both 30 and 60 minutes through the system): 💦

$35/30 minutes (without instruction)
$60/60 minutes (without instruction)

⚠️Please remember, 1-2 dogs within the same household are covered under the base price)

Each additional dog (you will add them to your booking) will be $10/30 minutes and $15/60 minutes

There is a white cash box hanging on the wall by the entrance to the pool. Please pay for your additional dogs using the box in cash or check ⚠️

A few important reminders ‼️‼️:

Make sure your dog uses the bathroom AND CLEAN UP after your dogs before they use the pool ✔️

Do not steal time. We do have cameras ✔️

Do not have dogs off leash anywhere on the property, especially in the fenced in area on the concrete ✔️

⭐️ If you have not already signed our liability waiver (your signature is good for 1 year), please do so. It is located inside the door located on the pool deck. We also have life jackets for use to all of our customers! ⭐️

Discounted preorder packages are available — make sure to get on my list if you’d like to save a few bucks, be first priority, and receive your photos first!

Here at The Northern Border, LLC we have trained and titled our own dogs to win 2 National Championships, and compete as USA-01 on the World Team in the sport of Schutzhund (now IGP).

With that being said, and with 13 years of actively training and competing with dogs, I am rarely “blown away” by someone’s talent, ability to think outside the box, work with very difficult dogs, make extrodinary progress, and understand a dogs behavior and underlying motivations like Zakary Filler. 🐶

At 22 years old and specializing in dock diving, he is one of the most talented “dog guys” I have ever seen. It was a pleasure working with him on the dock and in the water with 5 of my own dogs, and am excited for our future collaboration with him at our facility. The magic that happened with all 5 dogs in a matter of 30 minutes was mind blowing!!! 🤯

He worked with my very dominant and difficult dog Koen without hesitation, and we made huge strides in teaching him how to swim, and to trust in people ❤️ It is rare that I allow anyone to work with Koen on that type of intimate and personal level, expecially in a hightened arrousal state, and Zak not only handled it like a true professional, but my dog was exhausted physically and mentally, and had the time of his life! 🥹

“Biddy” is a 4 month old yellow lab female from our Nala x Wake litter. She is from top American Field Hunting bloodlines. Sire and dam are both fully health tested and titled. Biddy is extremely outgoing, confident, environmentally stable, has great prey drive, food drive, and retrieval instincts. She would excel in a service, sport, working, hunting, or active pet home.
