The Name 🗻🤍
When thinking of a kennel name, I wanted it to convey the things that remind me of home.
Two of those special things in my life are the gorgeous state I live in and my family I enjoy it with.

🤍Ray for my Grandpa Ray and his legacy of family

My house isn’t a home without a Samoyed in it, and that’s exactly what I want for every house a pup goes to.

Meet the Gals of KinleyRay!

My name is Chelsea Duque and I am the one in the right of the photo. I have been a Professional Dog Groomer since 2016. When I first began grooming, my boss and mentor Lindsey Dowling was determined to pull me into the dog show world she loved so. It was while visiting her at a show that I met an incredible Samoyed, Bentley and fell in love with the breed. Through a series events Bentley’s baby, Sterling, came to our family. Sterling and I learned the dog show ropes together, and completely hooked me on the breed and sport for good.

Sterling is co-owned with my mom, Donna. She is the one standing behind me, and quite literally that is the role she plays at KinleyRay. She stands behind us and takes care of everything big and small to keep things running smoothly.

Next was my turn to pull my sister, Alyssa (on the left) in. When another amazing opportunity arose, we added Squash to her and her husband Eddie’s family. Alyssa is a zookeeper at The Alaska Zoo and loves the critters and dogs almost as much as I do.

It takes a village to do this thing, and I’m so thankful for my family’s support!

The opportunity to add Squash to our family came when he was born in July of 2020 at the home of our incredible mentors and friends, the Granackis of Snowater Samoyeds. He is a bundle of goofy sweetness and endless energy. We are so excited to get him into the show ring this spring of 2021!!

“Sterling Rose”
Also known affectionately as “Ster-stick” or “String Bean”

This girl is the reason I believe we will be lifelong Sammy lovers. She fell into our laps at 4 months old from Margarett Mitchell of White Shadows Samoyeds and became my very first show dog. Her and I learned the show ropes together from our best bud Lindsey Dowling, and have enjoyed every second.

She is all things sassy, spunky, and sweet and makes every day living with her exciting.

Meet “The Boys”
Sitka, on the left, was not only the first dog added to my family, but the one who taught me so much about how special dogs can be.
Sam on the right we got from the Alaska GSD Rescue at 2 years old. He has taught us so much on the long road of bringing him from a fearfully aggressive dog to a big ol’ cuddle bug.
These two might look a little different from the Sammys, but they are a very special part of our home. Sitka is responsible for all training on good hiking behavior, and Sam loves a good game of tug of war.
