The Sharpener is in for 3 weeks for all your sharpening needs. We live in Wasilla, feel free to reach out to Edge of “Don” for address. Local pickup and delivery is available upon request. There may be a gas surcharge depending on distance.

If unable to sharpen there will not be a charge and reason will be given.

Out of state Master trained by Wolff industries.

Many of you have shears that we understand you may have separation anxiety to let them go. Please mention that and he will bring his equipment with him if it’s for one or two pairs. Blades will need to be done at his shop.

Edge of Don has moved to the Valley! We continue to offer sharpening services. As many of you are aware, Don is on a 3/3 schedule. We are keeping an open eye out for a van or vehicle that can be converted into a mobile sharpening unit. We respect the relationship between you and your shears and hope to offer a quick on site turn-around in the future!

Don has been professionally trained to sharpen shears, serrated, curved, chunkers, thinners, and blades for groomers and stylists. (There is a difference on how shears are sharpened for each)

He can straighten and “fix”. If your shears have a dead spot or just not functioning like they should, YOU WILL BE SATISFIED!

Don decided to do this for our daughter who is a groomer. He is a master skate sharpener and decided to expand his skills when our daughter moved here. (She conned him as most daughters do) Don doesn’t do anything half way, not even a hobby. So he purchased a expensive sharpener and searched, found and was trained by an experienced judge for the Masters competition! Trust me when I tell you he doesn’t do this for the money. He enjoys having something to do on his days off and truly he is very good with an inert understanding of how a good shear should perform!

The sharpener is here for another week and a half if anyone has any sharpening needs. Be it for a dog, a person or even the hairs on your chinny chin chin.....he can put an edge on those blades, shears or scissors.

Local pick up and delivery available and turn around time is something to talk about. Mail your supplies and we will take expediate sharpening to get back to you in record time. You pay shipping, flat rate box seems to work best packed tight! Faster and less expensive than overnight in our experience but will ship anyway you prefer.

With warm weather comes shedding dogs and shedding people. The sharpener will be returning April 23 and available to meet your sharpening needs. Whether you cut human or hound, he’s got your back. We have one eye open for a van/vehicle for a mobile on site sharpening mobile unit. I personally think he just needs something to fix 🙂. Any leads...thank you!

We understand How difficult it can be to give your favorite sharpening blades and scissors up for the dreaded long wait turn around time to ship them someplace to have them sharpened!
