So it began...

First a little bit about me. I grew up in a little place called Pleasant Lake, Michigan. It was there that I started working for a local taxidermist at age 15. I quickly gained a passion for the outdoors and taxidermy.

In 2002 a long time friend (Lyn Hoffman) offered me an opportunity I couldn’t pass up; a job as a packer in the Great State of Alaska! Who would have thought, my dreams would become a reality? The following year myself and two friends decided to make Alaska our home, so we packed up what little items we had and headed North to Alaska!

Once in Alaska I was given another opportunity to work for and be mentored by Dan Foster, owner of Foster’s Taxidermy. During the better part of a decade I learned so much from Dan and am so appreciative of the time he took to teach me.

After a few years of living in Alaska I was back home in Michigan and ran into a high school friend. Little did I know she would soon become my wife. I moved back to Michigan for a short time and we both decided that Alaska was where we wanted to make our home with our little family. Not long after importing her to Alaska, our little family started to grow again. We’ve been living in Alaska together for nearly 9 years, married for 10, have two beautiful children (McKinley 9 and Hunter 7). Amazing how time flies!
