We would like to send a Big THANK YOU to the Waterbury Women's Club for their generous donation of $500. ❤ We are so grateful to receive these funds during this time when donations are at an all time low. This donation is a big help and will be used towards the vet care for our animals. 😊

FYI: The picture of Reba in our last post was Biscuit, not Reba - our apologies ☺️

ADOPTION: Little Miss Ellen (tabby) and Reba (calico) are settling in to their new foster home while they continue to wait for their forever home(s). They both have had a rough start at life. Miss Ellen came to us from an neglect situation in which she was surrounded by dogs and cats (both alive and dead), in a trailer. In fact, her brother had passed away. 🥲Miss Ellen was also covered in fleas and a little weak from anemia, but was treated at the vet and has bounced back. She is very talkative and frisky and always looking to see what she can get into. She LOVES to be held and cuddled.

Reba was found by a good samaritan wondering around an elderly housing complex. She was underweight and definately needed some TLC. She loves to run and play with her toys, and chase Miss Ellen. Reba also loves to be held and pet, showing off her strong motor skills. She and Miss Ellen became friends quickly as they are around the same age, 8-9 weeks, although Miss Ellen is a bit smaller. Reba is more cautious around new objects, and can be a little rough while playing with Miss Ellen (but they cuddle in their bed when napping).

Both kittens have been dewormed, received flea treatment and their first vaccine, as well as tested negative for feline leukemia and aids. We would love for them to be adopted together, given their rough beginning and the fact they have become close. We may consider adopting only one of them into a home that has another young kitten or appropriate cat so that they can continue to build their socialization skills and have a companion. It will need to be a good match.

If you are interested in Miss Ellen and/or Reba, please email us at [email protected]

🚨URGENT UPDATE🚨These two very handsome brothers, Indy left, and Rajah right, are STILL looking for a new, loving home. The owner is no longer able to take care for them and they are now in our care. Indy & Rojah are 4 yrs. old and inseparable! They do everything together, even wrestle! They are lovable indoor, lap cats who are curious and inquisitive. Since they are bonded, they must be adopted together. Up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered, and negative for feline leukemia and aids. There is a minimum adoption fee for these 2 lovable cats.

If interested in Indy & Rajah, please email us at [email protected].

ADOPTION: Poor Patches is STILL waiting for his forever home after being with us for a year! 🥲 Patches is about 16 months old, neutered, chipped, and a very nice dog. He would get along with a female dog. Patches comes with a brand new Crate and is around 45-50 lbs. He was abandoned during the winter near a pizza shop in Waterbury as a 4 month old Puppy and we know he was in a basement most of his 4 month life. 🥲 Patches is up to date with vaccinations and heart worm tested negative.

If you are interested in Patches, please email us at [email protected].

All potential adopters MUST own their own home and have a veterinary reference.

ADOPTION: Sisters "Daisy" and "Lilly", two cute little torties, are STILL waiting to find their forver home. 🥲 Daisy and Lilly were abandoned at a pet store. They were only 3 weeks old and much too young to be without their mother. They are now 10 weeks old and ready to find their forever home! 🥰
It would be just wonderful if Daisy and Lilly could stay together by being adopted together. They are just crazy about each other!
If not, we would prefer that you have another kitten or cat at home already so Daisy or Lilly would have a companion and playmate to run around and have a ball with! In THEIR new home (we sure hope they get adopted together), children must be 6 years old or older.
Daisy and Lilly have received their first shots and deworming and they have tested negative for feline leukemia and aids.

If you are interested in Daisy and/or Lilly, please contact us at [email protected]

ADOPTION: These 2 sweeties are STILL available for adoption. 🥲Silvester (tuxedo) and KitKat (calico) are about 2 months old and have become best friends (they came to us separately as single kittens). They love to run, play, wrestle, push things off the table, and snuggle with each other. 🥰 We would love for them to be adopted together if possible, or at least have another kitten or young cat in their forever home. Both are up to date with vaccinations and tested negative for Feline leukemia and aids.

If you are interested in Silvester and/or KitKat, please email us at [email protected]

We would not be able to continue our work without the continued support! Thank you!!!❤

PLEASE READ!!

It's fall. Your house smells like cinnamon, clove, and apple cider.
You've got candles burning 24/7. Reed diffusers. Essential oil diffusers. Wax melts. Plug-ins.
And I—your pet—can't breathe.
What's in those "fall scents":

Phthalates (hormone disruptors)
Benzene and toluene (carcinogens)
Formaldehyde (toxic to lungs)
Essential oils toxic to pets: cinnamon, clove, pine, citrus, eucalyptus, tea tree

The Facts:

Cats and dogs metabolize essential oils DIFFERENTLY than humans
Even "natural" oils can cause liver failure, respiratory distress, seizures
Burning candles releases particulate matter (like secondhand smoke)
Pets are closer to the ground = breathe more concentrated fumes

Symptoms you're ignoring:

I'm drooling excessively
I'm lethargic and hiding
I'm vomiting or having trouble breathing
My nose/eyes are irritated

You think it's "just seasonal allergies." It's poisoning.
What you should do:

Use candles in well-ventilated rooms (not where pets sleep)
NEVER use essential oil diffusers around cats (especially toxic)
Switch to pet-safe candles (soy, beeswax, no synthetic fragrance)
If I show symptoms: VET. NOW.

Your cozy fall aesthetic is my emergency room visit.
