🦃⛄The holidays can be stressful for our pets. We’re sharing a few simple ideas so you can plan ahead to help your furry family members stay calm and comfy during the season:

🕒 Stick to their routine for walks, meals, and cuddle time—predictability = comfort.
💖 Sneak in some extra affection even when you’re busy decorating or entertaining.
🐕 Prioritize exercise—a tired pet is a relaxed pet, especially during busy days.
🏡 Create a quiet zone where your pet can retreat when the noise or guests get too much.
🎲 Provide new toys or puzzles to keep them entertained while you’re festive and focused.
🗓️ Consider daycare or a sitter if your schedule is packed or your home is noisy—it helps reduce their stress AND yours.

A little thoughtful planning goes a long way in making this joyful season comfortable for the whole team—two-legged and four-legged!

Congratulations to Mike and Lady who passed their final Alliance Therapy dog testing.

Lady had a ten-year career as a leader dog for the blind before she was retired and rescued by Mike. Lady made it clear that retirement wasn’t for her so Mike brought her to Union Lake training to refocus her to therapy dog work.

After a lot of dedication and hard work, Lady is looking forward to visiting elementary school children as an Alliance certified therapy dog.

🦃🎨 It’s Time for Our Annual Turkey Decorating Contest! 🎨🦃

We gave each of our teams at Union Lake Veterinary Hospital & Pet Services a 13" white craft pumpkin and told them to decorate theirs however they liked! We need YOU to help us choose your favorite! 🧡

Each team was assigned a letter, and the letters spell out TURKEYS. You'll see two photos of each entry.

These are on display in our hospital reception area, but all voting happens right here on social media! 👍🐾 Vote for your favorite by indicating the letter in comments. 🗓️ Vote through November 24. 🏆 Winner will be announced on November 25!
