Hi everyone my name is christina and I am a rescue/foster for orphaned baby kittens and pregnant queens I started this page to share my foster journey with fellow animal lovers In hopes to spread awareness about why spay/neuter is so important.

We’ve got babies! 5 to be exact. There are some birth defects some minor some more severe. All are doing well at this point and time just waiting to hear back from a vet to see how we move forward with the babies with the birth defects. Prayers for these littles and that everything can be corrected would be appreciated.

Hey y’all I know I have been super MIA over here but I promise for a good reason. I haven’t been taking on any rescues because our Family is moving from Fort Drum Ny to Fort Liberty (Bragg) in North Carolina we are t-minus 3 weeks to our departure. I have been missing the rescue life so much and I can’t wait to get back to it once we get settled in North Carolina. Keep your eyes open for posts about new intakes in the near future. Also we are moving with two rescues if y’all remember Joy she was dumped by her adopters when they pcsd and had no idea how to take care of herself outside and was on deaths door when someone found her. She is thriving and fat as can be now. The second one is sapphire she was a feral I trapped when someone stole her kittens from her at 3 weeks old and pasted them on Facebook I was able to reunite sapphire with her kittens her kittens were all adopted and we worked so hard to socialize her and she has become the most loving lap kitty out there.

Update on sweet Joy. She is home but not out of the woods just yet she has definitely improved but her labs weren’t awesome but definitely better. She is on antibiotics and special food to help her kidneys hopefully recover even more. Also Joy was likely attacked by another cat while she was out as she has an abscess on her chest that ruptured I will not post pictures of that as it is graphic. She will have repeat bloodwork in about a week to check her kidney and liver again. Also Joy has lost some of her vision but we are hopeful it will return as she recovers.

I’m not sure if any of you remember Joy, but if you scroll back far enough you will see pictures of her from when she was adopted while she was with me and the day I trapped her when she was a kitten. Joy was adopted by another military family almost 2 years ago well that family decided that they didn’t want to take her with them when they moved about 1 month ago and dumped Joy outside to attempt to fend for herself. Joy was found over the weekend by another sweet lady who posted her on Facebook looking for her owner. Upon seeing her photo I immediately knew it was Joy and reached out to the lady about being able to pick her up. Microchip matched Joys microchip number that I had on file for her. I can not begin to tell you how poor of shape Joy is in. She weighs only a few pounds I can feel every bone in her body she can hardly stand/walk she is having tremors. I rushed her to an emergency vet as it was Sunday and everything else was closed. They ran blood work and her kidneys and liver are not doing well at all. Joy is staying at the vets for the next 3 days in an attempt to save her life and as you can imagine this is placing a huge financial burden on my family. I’m sharing in hopes that we can get some donation towards Joys care. I’m attaching my PayPal as well as my Venmo and cashapp if you have it in your heart to help Joy and I would be forever grateful. I will also post the bill from the vet with a video of Joy while we waited for her blood work to come back. Prayers would also be very much appreciated for this sweet girl she deserves to live a long happy life with a family who isn’t going to abandon her. Thank you in advance for any help y’all are able to give even if it’s just a share. ❤️ -

I totally forgot to post this video. This is literally my very favorite thing Itty Bitty kitties do. I was an unfamiliar scent to him obviously I’m not his momma so he was hissing at me 😂 such a ferocious little dude. He still does this periodically when I hold him I’ll have to try to get a new video of him doing this now that their little eyes are open.

It’s been kind of a crazy week so I’m a little late posting this. Sunday April 30th I took in a momma kitty mid labor. She seemed very uncomfortable but was only really contracting periodically and then she would be up and moving around like she wasn’t in labor at all it was very confusing to say the least but momma ended up having 2 babies between 11pm 12:30 am so let me introduce to you momma kitty Mrs. Boots and her babies Jack sparrow and Calypso.

We have expanded the kittens play area, we are litter box training which is going well several kittens have already gone potty in the litter box as you can see if you zoom in on the photo and we are putting food out to see if they are interested in learning to eat something other than breast milk so far they are more interested in eating litter 😂😂 we use non-clumping litter when potty training for this exact reason. Lunas babies are 4 weeks old 😻

Lunas babies are 3 weeks old! This is one of my favorite stages when they are really learning to walk and play with one another and they recognize me when I come in the room and meow at me. They are literally the cutest ever!

Update on Luna and babies:
Luna is a wonderful momma taking the very best care of her babies and they are getting very chunky gaining approx 20 grams a day which is awesome. As you can see in this picture there is a 5th baby the little black and white one by Lunas back paws. This is not Lunas baby but a kitten that was orphaned. The finder of this baby knew she had the best shot at life if she could be placed with a nursing momma so we thought we would give her a shot with Luna and she took her right in as one of her own. I will be posting up close/portrait photos of all the little babies soon.

Update on sweet Luna, she is still very pregnant and very uncomfortable poor thing I’m not sure how much bigger she can get. I’m giving her one week tops before her babies make an appearance. My guess would be she is carrying somewhere between 7-9 kittens but praying that I’m wrong and it is a smaller litter.

Everyone meet Luna. A Good Samaritan found Luna dumped on the side of a dead end road near her home and they knew she needed help so they brought her home in hopes of finding her owners. She unfortunately had no luck in finding an owner so I agreed to take her in. Luna is pregnant and we have an appointment for her on Thursday to get her a good checkup a good estimate on age and hopefully figure out how far along she is and approximately how many kittens she may have. -

Update on little Cheddar. Y’all I am honestly shocked that this guy pulled through he was so so sick but he made it. He did have a vet visit and it was confirmed he has a broken elbow it was an older break that happened when he was approx 2-3 weeks old so it has been healing for about 4 weeks. He will likely always have a mild limp on that leg but if that’s all he suffers from with how sick he was I will take it. He is just the sweetest little boy and he is going to bring so much love and joy to his adoptive family when he is ready for his forever home.

Everyone please say a prayer for this baby. He came from the same farm as midnight did and this little guy is extremely sick it will honestly be a miracle if I can keep him alive but I’m certainly gonna try but he could definitely use all the prayers sent his way.

My last couple hours with this sweet boy. Midnight where do I even start. You had a rough start to life born out on a farm and then left to die when you got really sick. Fate put me in the right place at the right time when I pulled into that driveway and saw a tiny black floof I thought you were a baby chicken but as soon as I got closer I realized that wasn’t the case. I scooped you up and saw both eyes glued shut a snotty nose and you were cold. I told the farmer I was taking you and didn’t leave him any options because I know you would have died out there. You gave me quite a few scares over the next couple of weeks with how sick you were I thought I was going to lose you but you were a fighter and you made it. Unfortunately there had been some irreversible damage done to one of your eyes that was making you miserable so we made the choice to have that eye removed. I remember getting you home that night and you were acting like you hadn’t just had a major surgery just as loving and cuddly and playful as ever. Now here we are today and you are going home with your forever family who I know is going to love you so much and you are going to bring so much joy to their lives and while I am so happy for you my heart is breaking I wish you were mine and I wish you were staying but it just wasn’t in the cards for us you are the best boy there is and I am going to miss you so so much. I love you sweet boy to the moon and back.

Hey everyone meet midnight. Midnight is a very special pirate kitty 🏴‍☠️ 🐈‍⬛. He came to me at about 3 weeks old with a severe eye infection in both eyes due to an untreated URI. We tried every antibiotic you could think of to help clear up his eyes and it worked well for one but unfortunately he had to have his right eye removed and he has felt so much better ever since. He does walk around with a slight head tilt and isn’t quite as graceful as most cats but he is the sweetest most silly boy and he has no fear of anything. He is now looking for his purrfect forever home. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. A little snippet into what life looks like for us right now. We are on baby watch. Mommas water broke earlier tonight she’s been pacing around a lot of the day and being very very vocal and doing a lot of grooming. I will likely be up with her most the night to make sure her labor and delivery go smooth and be there if she needs help at all. And so my journey here in North Carolina begins. Everyone meet little miss Mercedes, she was a owner surrender at a very small local animal shelter the owners no longer wanted her because she got pregnant by her son so instead of taking her to be spayed right away they let her get pretty dang close to term with these babies and then dumped her at the shelter. She will likely have her babies anytime in the next week or so. Praying we don’t have any deformities or still births since it is a case of inbreeding.
