Not a bad 2 and a half days work for Arnie Jenc's 2nd annual visit. Also a plus one from Bob and Sara last weekend. Solo males dominated this bag. Had hard-chargers, sneaky ones and a couple longer range lock-ups with few mistakes. On the day we hunted all day, Arnie and his app said we did 7 walking miles and the equivalent of 76 flights of stairs. The 70plus year old wore me out 😂

The Annual Arnie Jenc prairie dog/coyote hunt is a wrap in record breaking fashion. Mornings tallied 8 coyotes, but the real story was the 500+ prairie dogs on the 3 day hunt! We ran us both out of cartridges! I'll try to post video in the comments.

Arnie plays with fire!

More elk action. This bull came in to lone pup howls of all things. He got downwind of the call and proceeded to blow out right through the area where you can hear the family of coyotes howling. 😰 I wonder what a bull elk would do it it came up on an actual coyote pup🤷

Busy August with family vacation, hectic work schedule and of course, the annual Arnie Jenc coyote/prairie dog shoot. A little photo dump on the success. 14 less coyotes and 424 fewer prairie dogs roaming McKenzie county.
