🔥🔥WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!! We need short term fosters (ideally through the first week of January), adopters, fosters, and rescues to help these pups get through today!🔥🔥
We're in a crunch. A number of regular fosters are UGA students, who are headed home for the holidays. This means their foster pups--housetrained, known to be friendly with dogs and people (and sometimes cats)--are coming back to the shelter until next semester, overloading the shelter.
Without help, some of these dogs will lose their lives today. And more tomorrow. And more the next day.
All are really good dogs, including:
⭐️ Takeoff (row 4, pic 1) was our female dog testing dog on Tuesday, and she was friendly and playful even with the pups who didn't like her. She's housetrained and did not seem to be a problem with the cats when we took her by the cat shelter.
⭐️ Ru (row 1, pic 2) is a friendly, submissive, and playful 1 yo. He did great with the dogs he met on Tuesday, as well as Sassy, with whom he had an offleash play date yesterday. Appears to be scared of cats.
⭐️ Hankzilla (row 3 pic 3) is one of Takeoff's play partners. He's a big guy but play bows quickly to a new friend. His former owner reports that he "thinks he's a lap dog". He was playful to the dogs and cats in his prior home, though he did chase the cats some, and was housebroken once he learned the routine.
⭐️ Eliza (row 3, pic 5) is a sweet medium sized silky girl. She's quiet in her crate and appears to be housetrained (she spends her days in the director's office). She's nervous on the fenceline with other dogs and would prefer they not be in her face, but she's great when walked by them.
⭐️ Zelda (row 2 pic 4) is a small chocolate lab-type. She's friendly with dogs that are friendly with her, great with people, doesn't seem bothered by cats (she's been in a crate with them walking by her and ignored them), and is almost housetrained (has occasional accidents.
These are all great dogs--their only fault is being homeless at the wrong time. Can you save a life?
