Snowball Splash Dock Diving League registration is open! Spaces fill quickly!

January - March 2025. You pick dates and waves in which you want to participate. This league is great for newer dock diving competitors as well as experienced jumpers.

Benefits of joining:
Meet new and see old friends in the sport, keep your dog fit this winter, receive tips from other competitors, laugh and have fun with your dog!

Prerequisites: Dogs must be 11 months of age or older at the start of the first league session. Dogs must have participated in a Think Pawsitive Dock Diving workshop, completed a Dock Diving evaluation at Think Pawsitive, or be titled in a Dock Diving venue in order to join the Snowball Splash League.

This workshop is taught by Todd Oilschlager, experienced dock diving competitor and co-owner of Pier Pups. Todd and his pups have numerous dock diving titles and have earned invites to North American Diving Dog Regionals and National competitions, earning placements at both competitions. His golden, Kanga, took 1st Place at the 2024 NADD Championship in the Senior Veterans Division.

Beginner Hydrodash Workshop:
Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 9 AM - 11 AM
This workshop is for dog and handler teams who are already jumping off the dock and are interested in trying out Hydrodash. Hydrodash is the newest addition to dock diving. The bumper is suspended just over the water and set 37 feet out into the pool. Dog’s are tested on how fast they can swim. This workshop is for dogs who are brand new to Hydrodash. In this workshop we will introduce new dogs to the AR Rig and grabbing a stationary bumper for the first time.

Beginner Dock Diving Workshops: Air Retrieve &/or Hydrodash

Sign up for one or both! These workshops are taught by experienced dock diving competitor and co-owner of Pier Pups, Todd Oilschlager. Beginner Air Retrieve Workshop
Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm
This workshop is for dog and handler teams who are already jumping off the dock and are interested in trying out Air Retrieve. In Air Retrieve, the bumper is stationary and suspended above the water, two feet above the dock. The dogs compete to knock the bumper off the AR Rig at the farthest distance. In this workshop we will introduce new dogs to the AR Rig and grabbing a stationary bumper for the first time. For details and to register:

Rocket Recalls Workshop
Sunday, December 8, 2024, 1:45-3:45pm

Do you dream of your dog running to you whenever you call? Even better, the very first time you call? With distractions lying on the ground? Does your dog have “selective hearing” or only come “when he feels like it”? Imagine calling once and having your dog RACE back to you… It’s possible, and we’ll show you how! This workshop is designed to introduce a step-by-step approach to teaching a solid, reliable, Rocket Recall (also known as the “Come behavior”). We will use multiple games working with your dogs on and off-leash. You will learn the common misconceptions and mistakes made when training, how to over­come them and how to consistently set your dog up for success in the training process.
