Havanese Treasures Beautiful Havanese! My husband and I are small breeders of beautiful Havanese. We are located in Wauseon Ohio, about 35 minutes West of Toledo. Thank you!

All of our Havanese puppies are AKC registered and champion sired. I am a Veterinary Technician, so all of my Havanese are very well cared for. All of our Havanese are raised in our home, and are very social with children, adults, and other dogs. Please visit my web site for more information. http://www.havanesetreasures.com

Today in Lansing, Michigan, Queenie made her debut in the ring as a special and was awarded Select by Judge Sandy Bingham-Porter. Nix then stole the show, winning Best In Show puppy by Judge Allison Bates, who was presented with a beautiful lineup of 4 to 6 month puppies! Thank you to the judges and to Michelle Abels Sabrina Abels and Samantha Abels for such beautiful Havanese ♥️

So true!

So true!

•Pet your dog, all the time
•Talk to your dog, all the time
•Allow your dog to follow you, all the time
•Allow your dog to be on your lap or laying on your feet, all the time
•Pet, soothe, comfort your dog when it whines or barks for attention...or is simply anxious
•Allow your dog to demand affection/interactions
•Be emotionally dependent on your dog to the point that unhealthy dependency and interactions are no longer noticed
•Allow your dog to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants—aka, provide no structure, rules, or accountability
•Foster an environment of chaos, stress, and anxiety
•Refuse to train and pattern calmness
•Refuse to crate train your dog
•Refuse to correct your dog when inappropriate behavior occurs
•Refuse to train your dog how to be independent/alone by using a “Place” command, “Downstay, and/or “away” time in the crate
•Let your dog out of the crate when it whines or barks
•Avoid training or anything that makes your dog temporarily uncomfortable or unhappy—in other words, cater to your dog’s every desire/need, designing your life around your dog, rather than having your dog fit into yours
•And many, many more...

Basically, baby, soothe, allow, enable, disable, lean on, omit teaching necessary life skills, prioritize what feels good for you rather than what does good for your dog, and through this master plan of leadership-free chaos, and systematic cultivation of creating a toxic dependency between dog and human...you’ll ensure that when you leave, your dog will be a true emotional mess, because you haven’t prepared them to be calm, obedient, strong, resilient, robust, independent, and alone.

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

This is why many breeders do not invite you into their home. It is not because they are dirty, a puppy mill, have a gazillion dogs, etc. . They do not know you, you do not know them. When looking for a puppy, you really need to ask questions, ask for references, and above all else, communicate with your breeder. Unfortunately, Paul Peavey is not an isolated incident.

As many as 10 Doberman puppies are missing after a breeder was killed in Colorado. Efforts are underway to locate them and solve his homicide.

Well this just happened! PJ was awarded OH Group 3 today in Lima Ohio, under Judge Nancy S. Amburgey! He is such a silly boy! No points to be had in classes, as there was only 2 entered, but we had such a fun day!
