These puppies are sprouting like crazy! Their eyes are wide open and they're figuring out how to stumble around on those itsy-bitsy legs. They are also trying out their 'big dog' barks and chewbacca sounds... still no needle teeth but they are definitely teething!

We're still looking for puppy raisers/fosters so we can donate as many puppies as possible to Kevlar K9... puppy expenses are covered and you can help save lives, one dog at a time! You must be willing to work on their training and be close enough to get them to Wichita for bi-weekly training sessions. Reach out if you would like more information.

Momma Phyre is clearly a master chef in the animal kingdom, these little ones are huge!

Ohhhhhh how I love having puppies to snuggle and love!
All puppies are doing well as is momma Phyre.
Daddy Lambert would really like to meet his squeaky little offspring, but momma says no way! At least not yet!
Grandma Dizzy is staying as far away as possible!
There is one little one that prefers to snuggle in blankets instead of with siblings... so there are only 4 of the 5 in the first picture. But as the second picture shows he's happily snuggled in the blankie...

Momma Phyre is happily resting with her puppies...4 boys and 1 little girl. All are doing well. Let the spoiling begin! Puppy breath and endless snuggles!!!

Phyre decided she'd see how long she could wait between puppies.

She waited long enough for me to call Coffey County Veterinary Services to ask if I needed to be concerned. They told me to give her another 30 minutes.

Within 5 minutes of hanging up with them a little boy joins his sister!!!

I sure hope she doesn't wait 4 hours between all the puppies!

It is a privilege to be part of organizations that have such a positive impact on our veterans and first responders. Thank you US Military WarDogs and Kevlar K9 for all you do and to Tanya Combes for your service and giving Boots such an amazing life! Watching our pups taking care of and providing their very own person (family) with the support they deserve is why we do what we do!

Retired Corporal
US Marine Corps and KS National Guard

Marine Veteran, Born in 29 Palms, California and also grew up in Phoenix AZ. While in High School Mrs. Combes joined the Marine Corps and enlisted in the United States Marine as a Logistics Specialist in 1994. After serving 4 years in active duty she moved to Kansas with her family. While in Kansas in 2004 she joined the Kansas National Guard and as a Logistics Specialist and 88M truck driver while serving with the 778 HETT Transportation unit stationed in Council Grove. In 2006 she was stationed on the border with the KS Guards building the boulder wall for 6 months. In 2007, she was assigned to the 287 Sustainment Brigade and was deployed in 2008 and injured while on deployment. 2010, Mrs. Combes was medically retired from the injuries while deployed with full honors. 2013, she went to work for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Service Support Specialist and still works there today.

Mrs Combes' service dog is a Weimaraner/Standard Poodle cross named Boots. Boots, was donated by Lyrae and Tony Anderson of Anderson Acres, and he is being trained to assist Mrs. Combes with Renal Kidney Failure, Passing out for high blood pressure due to kidneys shutting down and PTSD. As of today, Boots has saved her life 3 times and has been a wonderful replacement for her former service dog that had to be retired. Kevlar K9

I'm happy with the results but she seems a bit shocked she's going to be a momma again.

We are sooooo excited for Matthew and Ember!

This is Mathew, he is one of the Veterans that received his SDIT today. Look at the smiles on their faces. Ember is a Weimaraner and Standard Poodle crosses that was specifically bred for our service dog program and graciously donated by Anderson Acres 2018. Ember comes from many generations of service dogs. We expect great things from this service dog team.

Phyre is coming into heat... Lambert is not very patient when it comes to waiting for her to actually 'like' him. He thinks his sexy stare might help, she's very good at ignoring him and maintaining boundaries!

Meelon and Ember are 7 months old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, doing well on house training and working on their basic obedience.
