I posted recently about 5 pups. The kindhearted finder, Pat, also found the 6th. Remi had her pups under a junk car in a high dumping area. Lately, several of the strays out there have been shot or run over on purpose. Several have also been stabbed and killed. It’s breaking my heart to see what people have the capability to do. The cruelty is just awful. I’ve pulled over 100 dogs and pups from this area in Quinlan by the lake over the past two years, but it never seems to get better. They have no animal control. Local police don’t care about human cruelty let alone the dogs.
Yesterday Remi and her 6 puppies got to safety. Intake is closed here, so I can’t thank Carolyn from Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary enough, along with Wendy who helped find one a home already.
I was glad to drive out and load everyone up, but have no room.
Carolyn was able to take Momma and pups in before they met a horrific fate.
I definitely know personally how expensive it is for vetting and care of a family of mom and pups like this. Please consider donating to Flying B to help Remi get spayed, and all this group of adorable pups get healthy. It takes a village.
Thank you Flying B Rescue and Carolyn for helping with this rescue mission and getting these guys to safety! ❤️

This weekend has been a LONG one getting dogs to safety!!! Saturday Skeeter the older yet wonderful Rottweiler who has been with me since October boarded his flight to a new home. 16 dogs loaded after a mix up on vehicles at the rental place, a delay with some pups coming from Houston, and loading during a monsoon! All headed to MN. I drove Blue the neglected Doberman to Austin to meet up with his new wonderful family, and Anya and Joy- my two seniors, went to a caring forever home. It was a full circus around here! I’m exhausted and sleep deprived, this little rescue has now been depleted of funds, but 20 lives saved just this weekend. I can’t say enough about all the amazing people that made this happen!!!! I’d name you all but I’m about to fall over. I need sleep. I’m so glad we could make this happen!!!
Sunny has a long recovery ahead from his surgery but he is the best patient ever! I’m so glad we could get his surgery to save his leg after being hit by a car.
Thanks to everyone that helped this weekend with setting up kennels and hauling things off! And washing puppies and walking dogs. It is still so muddy here, but we managed to make it all happen with little trouble. The 10 new kennels make a huge difference. I can house many more until transport or adoption. They’re rotated out between the house and three yards. With a few personality conflicts, size differences, medical cases, etc… these runs are lifesavers.
